Title: Photoshop File compatability
Post by: on Fri 27/08/2004 16:46:31
Hello to everyone or anyone that can help! I am an AGS rookie so this may be blantantly obvious in which case try not to kill me. I have just finished my first room in Photoshop (looks cool!) but now I amÃ,  looking for a way to convert the image into a AGS compatabile file name. So if you know something about Photoshop that I don't, know a program I can use or some other mystical power to help me Please advise.

By the way is this a good time to ask advice about how to get rid of the slight bruise on my knee? - indigo

Right click on it. Unless you just want to make it disappear, in which case use ObjectOff.

I use irfanview (win32) to convert images because it supports almost any format and has a fast mass conversion tool, very usefull when you have like 300 pics to convertÃ,  ;)
For linux i have ImageMagic, a bit complicated but very usefull (can create gifs).

no, they thought they had to save the file as something like image.agsbg but no, just save it as a custard/puddin' said, and youre done.

1) This doesn't belong in the tech forum (it's VERY much a beginners question)
2) This is most definately covered in AGS Help ... ie RTFM!!!

You might want to review this (not obviously titled) thread; READ THIS THREAD FIRST BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE! (http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?topic=14373.0) in the Beginners Tech Question board, or, as always, read the manual before asking simple questions.

Hey indigo. Skater? lol, probably not. Ocean? haha. Ok, nevermind. You probably have no clue who Indigo Skater or Indigo Ocean are. Well, firstly, welcome to the forums. Now, interrogation time:

[light brightness="very bright" direction="right in your eyes"]
1. Where did you come here from?
2. Do you have any previous programming skills?
3. Are you from Indiana?*
4. What type of games do you plan to make with AGS?
5. Before I ask question 4, did you already know that you can make non-adventure (platform, rpg, first person shooter, etc.) type games with AGS?
6. Is your name Guybrush Threepwood?**
7. My name's Bobbin Threadbare, are you my mother?**
8. Have you ever played Sam And Max?
9. If yes, did you like it? If no, can I stab you in the face?
10. If yes to question 1 of question 9, good job. Else, SetCharacterView(monkey0506, STAB_THIS_N00B_IN_THE_FACE);
11. Do you understand anything I have said so far?

Thank you for your time. BTW, I'll try and help you with anything you need, so if you need help and no one here replies within a few days... mailto:monkey_05_06@hotmail.com
