Title: Player-defined main character name
Post by: Arendyll (formerly Yurina) on Thu 09/02/2006 13:19:25
Hi,

I'm searching for a way to make a room with some people in which you can name the main character(s) of a game.

One person will talk to the main character, and ask for her name. You, as the player, will be able to give her a premade, or a custom name. How can I get this done? Do I need a GUI or the Text-parser?

Thanks,
~Yurina

Thanks, I didn't really find anything when I searched (maybe the wrong words?). I searched for "player can choose name".

Did you also miss the BFAQ entry Naming your character and using that name throughout the game (http://americangirlscouts.org/agswiki/index.php/Graphics%2C_Characters%2C_Text_%26_Rooms#Naming_your_character_and_using_that_name_throughout_the_game)?
