Title: Recorded speech problems in dialog
Post by: on Fri 20/06/2003 08:24:50
Ok, soory about the last topic I got that figured out.  Im still a beginner though.  I recorded me saying something for the game and saved it as a .wav in the compiled folder...I can make music work...I made sure to save it as firts four letters of script name, (GARY1) and then in dialog I typed: GARY: &1 "I'm ready." but it dosent play the recording, it only displays the text.  I might be making a stupid mistake, but can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong?

In the compiled folder you say..? Don't it say in the manual that the compiled folder is for the ready game...

Anyway: Put the file in the game folder, where you have all the rooms etx.

Yeah, voice files should be placed in the game folder, not the compile folder.
Also, make sure that you run the 'rebuild vox files' command from the menu before saving your game.
