Title: Red annoying lines in front of the screen
Post by: Gord10 on Fri 25/06/2004 14:39:20
I'm working on a game which has 16 bit hi-color graphics. But I have a problem: There are red lines in front of the screen in some scenes.

Do you have an idea how I can fix them?
Thanks :)

Nice screen-shots.. looks interesting.
Hmm, the red lines, I've no idea. Perhaps some GUI trying to pop-up or, it may be some kind of text-overlay trying to appear? No idea. If it's just happening in some of your rooms and only sometimes, try to figure out what's in that room and what actions make it appear?
Good luck.

Are you sure the lines aren't part of the background image?
Is it possible you accidentally got some edges included in a sprite or sprites you're displaying in these screens?

By the way, it's "I layed awake", not "I lied awake" (unless your character is a very deceptive person).

Actually it is "laid". :)

Edit:
Or "I lay awake" even?

Yes, I think it was about the GUI's. I've tried the backgrounds with a new empty game, and fixed the problem.
English isn't my first language. I'll need a proof-reader for my game project :)
