When browsing the Sprite Manager or Views menus in AGS editor some of the sprites are strangely colored.
This may be due to the sprites using a pallette meant for a specific room.
I noticed this when editing the demo game.
Go to the pallette and convert it to high colour, or put each of the colours you use into the pallette

I tried converting to high colors, but some of the sprites still display in odd colors.
I think after you convert you need to re-import the sprites. Unless you're talking about the sprites that are in the editor by default, in which case, what did you mean by "This may be due to the sprites using a pallette meant for a specific room" ? If you meant that you assigned the colors in the pallette to be background specific, then convert back to pallette, select the first 42 colors (first 17 are marked with L, select the next 25) and uncheck the box that says "This color is room specific". You can convert back to hi-color after that if you want.
Hopefully this'll help.
Well, I was talkiing about editing the demo game downloaded from the webpage.
When I first went to edit the room that the sprites appeared in and then looked at the sprites for that particular room the colors of those sprites apeared normaly.
I think I have the problem figured out now though, Thank you for your help.
Perhaps something to consider for future releases would be to automaticly load the pallette from the sprites if the user has a high colored display in the editor.
There may be other ways to fix this also.
Glad it worked out, good luck later on :).
