Title: WalkBehinds
Post by: adam100 on Sun 28/12/2003 23:09:39
How does this option work?I want the character to disappear when crossing some section(simply-walk behind it)but marking that section with "walk behinds" paint doesn't work.

You need to set a baseline also. Select your walk-behind (Editing: x), press the Set baseline button and click on the background to place it.

If the character is higher than the baseline then he is drawn behind walk-behind area, otherwise, if he is lower then he is drawn infront. Try to place the baseline at the bottom of the walkbehind's edge, move your character around and you'll see what it does and why you need to change it's position. ;)

For example if you have a tree painted over with a walkbehind area you probably want to place a baseline right at the bottom of it's trunk.

check the online help for more info on walkbehinds: http://www.agsforums.com/acintro2.htm (http://www.agsforums.com/acintro2.htm)
