The Rules (tm)
* This is a quiz about adventure gaming trivia. Each installment has about a dozen questions with a common theme, about well-known adventure games, either classics or from the more famous "indie" games. Suggested themes include but are not limited to inventory items, music, easter eggs or forest creatures.
* Each question is worth two points if correct, one for a partial answer, and three if you have a better answer than the person who made up the question.
* This thread is for hints and feedback, as well as noting your participation. Please send answers by PM to prevent people from peeking. The quizmaster will post all answers when the quiz ends.
* As with most activities, the winner of this quiz will be the quizmaster of the next one. In case of a tie, the person who submitted earlier is considered the winner.
* I'm setting a deadline of a week, then give me a few days to look over all answers, and give the winner a few days to come up with something new. The result should be a biweekly quiz, or thereabouts.

QuoteMania
Okay, a simple Quizzening... tell me from which game the following quotes are...
All are for classic Sierra or Lucasarts games, with a slight majority of Lucas quotes since there's much more spoken text in them. And most of the quotes occur near the beginning of the game.

1. He who would seek the key to this door will undoubtedly make a splash.
2. Hiden goseke.
3. How am I supposed to take over the world if I'm on a budget?
4. How are you going to find the statue in all this junk?
5. I'm selling these fine leather jackets.
6. I'm sick of making up stupid stories! ( -- then make up stories that aren't stupid! )
7. Ken sent me.
8. Last leaf of the year.
9. See ya!
10. The wisdom of the Elders may not be questioned. That is the final Rule of Membership.
11. You must be mistaking me for somebody else, I am not a farmer.
12. Z jo jb! Lvoo sd fj?

Ok, here are the answers. Half a point if you get the series right, but not the actual game.

1. He who would seek the key to this door will undoubtedly make a splash.
King's Quest II, inscription on the first magical door. Most people had the series correctly, but not the game.

2. Hiden goseke.
Quest for Glory; it's the troll's password in the brigand cave. Nobody had this one right. It's not TSOMI, nor KQ.

3. How am I supposed to take over the world if I'm on a budget?
Dr. Fred from Maniac Mansion, in the cut scene when you turn the power off.   Many people answered Day of the Tentacle, which is close enough to me. Someone said Space Quest, making me wonder what character he was referring to.

4. How are you going to find the statue in all this junk?
First line of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Someone pointed out it should be "how am I going...", but I've double-checked in the game itself and it's indeed "you" :)

5. I'm selling these fine leather jackets.
The quote originates in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but has been used in most LucasArts games since then.

6. I'm sick of making up stupid stories! ( -- then make up stories that aren't stupid! )
.. Intro sequence from Zak McKracken.  A guess was MI2. Nobody knew this one either, even if it's nearly the first line in-game. I suppose I'm one of the few people that likes Zak a lot.

7. Ken sent me.
The hooker's password from Leisure Suit Larry. Bonus point to Thomas VoB who pointed out it's actually from Soft Porn Adventure. King's Quest was a nice guess considering Ken Williams's involvement, but unfortunately not correct.

8. Last leaf of the year.
Loom, likely the first words spoken after the intro. Almost everybody knew that. Go Loom!

9. See ya!
Standard Caponian greeting in Zak McKracken.

10. The wisdom of the Elders may not be questioned. That is the final Rule of Membership.
Loom, first lengthy cut scene, before Atropos turns Hetchell into a swan.

11. You must be mistaking me for somebody else, I am not a farmer.
Monkey Island, when Guybrush doesn't quite understand Captain Smirk's training. Again, King's Quest was a guess. Which is weird because most of those games involves have very little actual conversation.

12. Z jo jb! Lvoo sd fj?
The holographic alien in Space Quest I (assuming Roger forgot his translator device) Many guesses here, all of them wrong. Two people said TSOMI, one specifying the monkey at the beach (which goes 'ook ook ook eep eep'). One said Zork.

Anyway. The winner is Thomas Voss with 18 points. Congrats!

Yay, great!
I actually won!
But now it's up to me, to come up with new questions. Gimme some time, please!

Wait, I did know it!

6. Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, said by Zak (and his boss)

Pity, that I didn't have the second Loom quote right, but I didn't recognize the english wording.

Well, enough of my drivel, I should get to work!

Oops. Ok, so Thomas Voss wins by even more points :)

Alright, thank you!
I mean, everything's gotta have it's correctness.
Well, that's it, somebody can lock this thing up now!
