Coloring Ball - Methods of Transportation - Winner declared!

Please let me present you a method of future transportation:

space elevator

Here we have eight gondolas that transport you within the tube of that space elevator up to a platform in orbit to watch the stars (or mother earth - in rare case of missing clouds).

Lots of couples in love use to book a trip to represent the question of all the questions (special discount during the week).

Every now and then a gondola is put off to replace it with a little space shuttle. This shuttle will start its journey to outer space from the platform (this way an immense amount of fuel is saved).

btw.
For safety reasons, the entire system is operated exclusively by vocal control system. There are no buttons because it is told about some strange people that call themself AGS'er. They seem to be members of a support group and are unable to keep their fingers away from buttons. A hard training with special programs that don't allow to push the button will hopefully help them to recover - poor guys.

This little representation also includes a short special appearance for to proof Mandle that I was faster than him.

My concept was quite different though but actually today I had another inspiration that I think I will go with instead:

A flying aircraft carrier (kinda like the ones in The Avengers)

I will be working on it tonight...

Also: your elevator looks awesome for inclusion in a SimCity type game!

When I was about 10 years old I walked into the local video arcade called "Orbit", made my way through the cigarette smoke (yup...it was the 80's)...and saw a new game...

The name was weird and yet enticing: XEVIOUS...

As soon as I looked at the screen I was in love...I mean, what was going on!? There were spaceships flying around but the background was NOT space...Instead of some stars scrolling by we had a beautiful landscape: forests, rivers, lakes, roads...And a range of incredible pixel art enemies never before seen...

So for this entry I finally decided on a tribute to:

XEVIOUS

So yeah, Xevious had some awesome bosses but it never had a flying aircraft carrier that could deploy aircraft while you fought it so:

It's great what you guys managed to do with an "impossible" shape...

I had many many ideas, but had to throw all away, cause there was just like 1/3 to 2/3 of the shape left to fill.

So, I officially give up.

* Since my daughter was born I relearned to marvel with the simple and beautiful things. I could go again to a infinitude of emotions and feelings that so long ago I had forgotten. In the real episode was a jet plane... those who leave a trail of "smoke"...you know...

When my little girl was 3 years old she was so excited to see them... she told me... with a big smile... "Look daddy...! Is the Chihiro's dragon!"... and wherever we were she always called me to see them flying and we did "Byeeeee" with our hands... "byeeeee"... as I did when I was a kid ...

From these moments I created this habit... every time i see a plane across the sky I stop everything that I'm doing and look at the top in silence with a big smile... like a passenger... losting my mind in the infinity blue... oh man...in this times some people look at me with a strange face (lol)... but i never care... I'm flying and I will never lose this heaven again...

That was a very hard shape to fill and even harder after I saw the first entry that always appeared in my mind when I tried to find something else that might fit.
Thanks a lot for the little extra race, Mandle (I had fun to include a tiny Tabby because of it)

Now we have to choose the best entry and again I have a hard time when watching all this well done pieces

I am very happy that pixel art wasn't required for the submissions because I am still in love with the first entry.
The idea and also the story behind it is heartwarming.
Those smooth sparkles give it a wonderful touch of a precious memory.

My votings:

1st I<3Pindorama!   for what I said before.
2nd Mandle        for all the tiny details and that I can think about it to be placed into a game like it is

Selmiak, good choice to book a ride with the space elevator - it is a cool adventure with a stunning view!
I hope you didn't get fooled by the 'special blue superdiscount'?

It is extremly cheap because you signed the disclaimer contract and will get the newest test gondola. No worries - it is save and comfortable including snak bar and such.
There's just one little thing to worry about . . . it has a small red button . . . to open the gondola!
