Coloring Ball: The Fabric of Spacetime [Winner Announced]

Anomalies are happening everywhere in the universe. Scientists can't decide what are they yet. So far, most of the theories are going with random cracks in the fabric of spacetime. Scientists sent a few objects through them and they just disappeared and never came back. Some theorists claim they are time rips, specially that some major historical evens have changed after a few people jumped in some of them. The cracks can appear anywhere, in public places, under your dinning table, in the middle of the ocean, in the atmosphere... they have no limits.

Their shapes are different but mostly like this sprite:

They can be rotated 90, 180, 270 degrees
They can be flipped horizontally or/and vertically
The outline can be colored
They MUST be animated
The animation is at least 3 frames *

Deadline is August 16th 2016, however due to the current events, there is a chance someone may travel through time and change this date.

* Except animations using color cycling

Okay, I've decided to try my hand at this.

Basically a UFO using the rift in space-time to enter this dimension--or whatever the current dimension is. I made it a transparent GIF so it can be put in the sky (any time of day and any weather), or even in a space-scape. You know, I wanted to make it versatile.

I do like the square edges of the shape. You can still achieve this effect within the given shape by using transparent pixels

nothing in the rules says anything about it as long as you don't draw outside the shape itself.

The gradient you used looks awesome. Why not practice color cycling or any type of animation?

I bet it'd look great!

Btw, I made sure the shape is fillable with one single click..

Tip: you can create the animation effect on a 171x246 or a larger canvas then overlay the shape and crop as needed

Seriously though: SO many great entries...!

I guess the theme does open up so many posibilities as well because one is not constrained to create an image that fits the shape of the "crack", but instead imagine what lies beyond it. Not exactly what coloring ball is all about, but makes for a nice change from the usual.

I would personally hate to get a vote for something that took me 40 minutes to cut/paste together (about how long my entry took), over someone who had worked for hours on original art...It would just feel like a pity vote to me...

Every entry though: minor or major, contributes to the success of the event as a whole, so everyone should feel good about their entries...
