Epic Tune Conquest - 3/10-3/17 - A Winner Is...

The topic is:

EPIC SPACE BATTLE!

The tune you compose must:

a) Be Epic in all ways, from the instruments to the scale of the piece.
b) Sound like a major space battle in which our heroes, the Federebels, are in a desperate battle against almost impossible odds...And they must win!

Bonus points awarded if your tune pays homage to The Last Starfighter theme, one of the most underrated sci-fi films ever.

I took scale to mean size, depth, space, expansiveness, rather than a collection of notes... could be wrong.
