Hey hey!

So this week's contest rules:

I want a song that will put me to sleep. No, not boring. Pleasantly relaxing music to which I can softly drift into slumber.

:)

Good luck!

BOYD: Something is strange with the links you're posting, they transfer to some strange search site called "megago.com". Maybe you should find another host?

Boyd: the midi version of your wont work for me :( it just play right through (no sound)

OT: those cars (the one you have in your sig) look uber awesome :D

I think I passed out at the 30th sheep. Yawn. Still recovering.

I shouldn't have listened to those entries in the morning. Now I'm tired. :P

Works fine for me, try boosting up the synthesyzer volume in volume control, or, maybe you have some sound card driver issues.

EDIT: Here's my entry:

Evil Lullaby

EDIT: 2nd version:

Well, I made some subliminal messages to go along with it, but I guess the encoder didn't like them. Oh well :P

I admit, this won't exactly put you to sleep.  But it is a good listening song!
I fail at art.

I'll wait until the end of the day to judge, in case of last-minute entries.

Gregjazz

Da judge!

First for a critique:

RTF: I was falling asleep, but then there was some bluesy atonal stuff and I was like "wowie!" and jerked back awake. Otherwise, nice pad stuff going on in the background.

Damien: Kinda reminds me of "The Goblin Returns". Nice and evil. If I were you I would add some low strings and maybe a soft pad in the background.

Boyd: A bit mechanical, but I admire the old-school sounds you're using there. If I were you, I'd use a bit more reverb and sustain some of those bell melody notes. Maybe add an acoustic piano playing really echoey sustained minor 9 broken chords for the contrast.

Modgeulator: As I said, unconciousness limited my listening to about 20 "sheeps" of this song. Lol. "Sheeps". I don't know why that's so funny.

And the winner is...

Boyd!!!

Every entry extremely good, but Boyd's one was the most lullaby-ish. I like how that backing instrument kinda sounds like the ticking of a clock.

I don't think Modgeulator's "Sheeps" entry qualified as "making me drift slowly into slumber": it was more like "made my eyes roll backwards, my tongue dry out, and my extremities twitch. And my hair fall out to boot." Powerful stuff Modgeulator.
