It is a mild Horror game.  Maybe teen and above.
Download from mediafire.

Oooh. Checking this out, I'll comment later too. :)

This post is not in any angry intent, please don't get offended or anything:

the rules on this forum are there for a reason. You should put at least 2 screenshots and a short description of the game. People like to see what the game is about and like to see how it looks and in general people don't like downloading stuff from the internet randomly.
You'll get more downloads and thus more people will play your game and maybe even help with a comment, so I'm saying with the purest intent, cause the title refference is intriguing and I saw a screenshot in another topic, but many people didn't.

:)

Snake

I agree with Anian. I would like to see screenshots after I read what the game is about :)

Alrighty, gave it some attention. I have to say that unfortunately I'm very confused. It's hard to get a sense of direction when you're dropped into a living room without being given any introduction or instruction on what you should be doing. It's an interesting way to start a game in some cases, but here, I'm literally stuck already. I grabbed the gun, but now I'm just chilling in the first room. Other than that, you should work out transparency in your sprite's backgrounds, it feels weird to see everything in a strange box.

But in any case, I really do want to play some more, it looks interesting enough.

Khris

Actually, the rule about a description and two screenshots is over at the Games in Production forum, not here.
It never hurts to show people what they're going to download though.

I've taken the liberty of creating a screenshot:

I was as confused as Domithan about what I was supposed to do; it doesn't help that the game mostly reacts exclusively to necessary interactions, save for some descriptions. The game instantly feels like a rushed minimum effort.
Finding an exit is guesswork; the characters mostly look like dwarfs; the writing is weird and confusing.

I'm sorry to be harsh on another typical first game, but I'd never, ever publish something like this. It severely lacks polish in pretty much every area of game design.

dbuske,

Along with everyone else, I'm also stuck in the first room.  The game begins with no intro, which makes it strange, since you're apparently in someone else's house.  The scale of the character to the room is completely off: the couch, comes up to the character's shoulders.  The color of the tools and objects is bizarre.  Interactions and responses are minimal.

On the positive note: The character is rather well drawn, I like the background music, and the name the game is intriguing.

The character is Davy Jones from the RON resources; don't know if it was edited though.

I did manage to leave the first room; I went to the lower left corner, then right. I saw three or four other rooms, but they all suffered from the same problems, unfortunately.

Khris - Clearly I need to spend some time poking around the available resources.

dbuske - Please understand, we're going into detail so you know what it is that you need to improve.  Without feedback none of us get any better.  This game has all of the beginner's mistakes.  Take everything we've said to heart, and give it another shot.

It was nice to see some of the RON-characters again and I like how the credits have been done, but ... sorry to say: All the way to get to this point is only confusing because of no introducion, strange interaction and a very lot of other missing stuff.

Did you give this game to someone for testing? If there was someone telling you to put it in the completed games-section, because it's ready, he/she is not on your side! :-[

This is not the critics-lounge, so I won't point everything out, but I recommend you to put it in the „games in production“- or even better the „critics-lounge“-thread and ask for critic/help, because it's not ready and you can do it much better. Well, only if you want of course.

Hope you work it out to get a nice little game in the end, because the story is fine for it.

I decided to put it out now, because it is the best I can do now. I can always come back to it later when I know more, much later.
Make sure to check for hotspots for info on the story line.
The exits are found by standing on the hotspot usually on the edge of the screen or in a doorway.
To go back to a room use the hand icon on the edge of the screen on a different hotspot.
Make sure to go to the bottom right of the room after the final battle to get to the credits.
I have alot to learn yet, but I am slowly learning.
Thanks for the comments, they will help me.
My new game is an interactive, documentary of the Ripper murders presented by the ghost of Sherlock Holmes.  With photos and maps and all the infomation I could find on the subject.
Did you like the music? The sound effects?  Danosong.com is where I got the music.  Dano is very talented.
If you run the game in 800x600 the characters should look the right size.  I went to great lengths and time to make it so.
