Akril15

After over 4 years of nonstop work (and much longer spent building up to the start of that time), I have finally completed a project that I've wanted to do for a very long time. Initially, I wanted the title for this game to be King's Quest IX, but to avoid any legal problems, it's just going by its subtitle: It Takes Two to Tangle.

Though most of this game was a solo effort, I was incredibly fortunate to find several other talented people who were able to help me make this game a reality.

Featuring:
-A fully voiced intro and outro
-4+ hours of original music
-A classic Sierra-style interface
-High resolution 2D animation

AGS Database Entry

9/10: One player encountered a progress-halting bug in the second half of Chapter 2. If you've encountered it, you may need to re-download the game. Your saved games should still work.
9/15: Trying to solve issue with the Linux version having no EXE file.
9/22: Uploaded version 1.0.0.2, which makes various minor corrections and changes. Unfortunately, any saves made in previous versions won't work with this one - sorry!
9/24: Uploaded version 1.0.0.4, which attempts to correct an issue where the game locks up at a pivotal moment in Chapter 3.
10/14: Uploaded version 1.0.0.5, which fixes the game's non-functioning idle views.

Wow! It looks so beautiful! Congratulations on your release!
My only constructive criticism for the future is that the grass in the second image is too brightly colored.
I love the characters though, they look very cool :D

Thank you very much for the comments, everyone! I'm going through some of the more minor bugs that slipped through the cracks. So far, there's been a few slight issues, but aside from the one I mentioned at the bottom of my first post, nothing game-breaking.

Akril, that was a wonderful game. Found some very little bugs, missing sounds and two crashes, but except that, very polished. One of the best fan games, I ever played.
Only one little critism, the ending feels a bit rushed. Has there been much content cut?
But otherwise, an awesome game. Thanks for making it

Thank you very much! There was some content removed, but the ending was left more or less intact. Could you please PM me about the issues you encountered so I can fix them?

Gorgeous game, especially the animations 8-0

I found a couple of bugs:

Look behind you Cassima! A three-legged sheep!
It happened when I came back. According to the description, the ewe should have been sleeping.


No, they haven't!
The letters appeared the first time but they were gone when I re-entered the room.

Also, if you juggle between 3 gemstones, it's fairly easy to superimpose them. Then, you can even make one disappear. Fortunately, it reappears quickly.

I finished Cassima's part and reached Daventry with Edgar.

I occasionally scratched my head but I haven't been stuck very long yet.
Limiting our freedom of movement simplifies the game but I'm totally fine with this.
The only thing keeping me from going on tonight are my heavy eyelids :-D

2 things I would change about the UI:
- add a hotspot indicator.
- use different colors for the dialogs of each character, or at least for each name.

Entering bandits hideout for first time: It is strange using Eye icon three time and character enter it magically without using pendant. I would think using "Eye icon" one time and using pendant afterwards. We can use pendant enter that area 2nd time and exit same way

When we speak with man inside small cave, following animation bug triggers when man goes back inside cave first time, making character walking down and using dried palm leaf on man sitting outside building
