Are you ready for this? Then step into the dark world of Lost In The Nightmare and face your darkest dreams..
An 'interactive horror adventure' with pre-rendered 3D graphics and cutscenes with cinematical camera pitches.
This game is not recommended for the people who is below 18 years old. (don't mind I'm 17 ;D )

The main character is Burak Guney, a private dedective who used to work for the police (he is a bit depressive character). You are hired to find three university students who got lost in a forest near the Karabalta Town while camping. They have been lost for 3 months and the police couldn't find any clue what happened to them. You'll stay in Karatas Hotel during your investigate (The story will be supported by the cutscenes with cinematical camera pitches).

Pre-rendered 3D backgrounds taken from the Half-Life engine are used in Lost In The Nightmare. I'm preparing the HL maps with Valve Hammer Editor by myself and using modified versions of the textures and models of the mods like They Hunger, Medieval World.

The server that is hosting your game is.. tortoiselike in comparision to say..a turtle.
6Kb/second, Glee!
Yes :/ But I hope I will find another host soon. I'm in contact with reloaded.org for this.
Yay, you actually released it! :D
Congratulations on that Ahmet, gonna play it next night! God this game is so awesome! ;D
YAY! ;D
A great game has been released, downloading now.
and people the slow download is worth it! :=
Too slow a download for me at the moment im afraid. Hope you sort a quicker one soon though, as the game looks really good. :-\
Yeah, the slow download is definitely worth it. Played for half an hour and it's really freaking me out. Very nice game with great atmosphere.
The download wasn't that slow here. Took only ten minutes.
What little of the game I had time to look at tonight looked good. I was a little confused that the GUI dims it's over a hotspot and becomes bright otherwise. Usually, it's the other way around...
The navigation is a little confusing. It's not always easy to tell when you can turn or proceed and when you can't. I've yet to see whether or not this becomes a real problem though.
The graphics and the sound look great! Very nice atmosphere.
The most distracting drawback of the game, though, is the text. The English is decent, but riddled with mistakes and awkward sentences. I'd highly recommend finding a native English speaker to rewrite a lot of those little inner-monologue bits.
Well done though. I'm anxious to play more of it tomorrow and see how well the puzzles and plot shape up!
10 mintues ?! Well im on broadband, and so far it's taken 1 1/2 hrs, and im only 74 % through!!!!!
I am NOT a happy bunny.
After a 2 hour (!!!!) download, when i try to run the game i get;
"File NCSPERSET.SPR is missing" and it wont run the game!!
Any help appriciated - and please dont suggest i try downloading again!
Weird, worked fine for me, try re-unpacking it if you haven't done that yet.
Tried re packing and it loaded, but then went to play, and when trying to entre the hotel, the game crashed and i got;
"Unable to load room34.com " so i still cant play it.
Have you got the latest version of winrar? no one else seems to have this problem...
Thanks for the help Mozesh, but ive managed to get it started by unpacking and repacking it a few times. Dont know what was wrong the first few times.

Gord, your game looks great, but please take Vince's advice. Few things are more annoying than a good game riddled with errors in the text. I, for one, am going to hold off on downloading the game until this has been taken care of.
I'm holding off until the host is changed - I gave up after 45 minutes (after a 90mb download should be done, at normal speeds), with an estimated 5 hours+ still left. Which is a shame, as I liked the demo, and have been looking forward to this. (And if you can take care of the English too, so much the better.)
Looks good!
But!
Is it beta tested?
And proofreading is also a thing you should do, Gord.
I really don't understand why people release games without these two things undone, especially if game is good! Why spoil it?
I won't download this until you get better host... though i'm VERY tempted to download... you have spent so much time on this...
But 8 kb/sec is way too slow.
Maybe try using Bit Torrent? I know The Underdogs uses it for some of the larger games.
What a bunch of whingers, took me 13 hrs to download and I'm not complaining. Couple of bugs though.

It says there is a reward at the end but crashes saying can't find room.

After I use music box and get keys, when I try and walk back to the Hotel I end up in the restaurant and have to go through the entire blindness cutscene a second time, then after painkiller/confension thing, I can't get into the hotel until I get the keys, which I have, then when I go towards the lake, I teleport into the Hotel and was able to finish the game.
Oh yes very, very linear game but I think this is ok here as it's one hell of a story.
Strange I had the same bug as with the BETA, my inventory doesn't work anymore after
Spoiler
you shoot your dark past the first time
could someone send me the save file right after that scene?
Alright; then it seems like that I have to find another host, and I should release a language packet where all grammer mistakes are fixed.
Also now I will look into the bugs you had. I hope I can find a good way like releasing a patch :/

Hmm, I couldn't find yet why that bugs occur. The game works at me good. But guess there isn't such a major bug as I think you could finish the game with the good ending.
Spoiler
You have finished the game with good ending, yeah?
The bonus which I had mentioned was not something so special; just some pictures of me. If you want to reach them, then you must do something like cheat.

Edit: Sorry for the double posting :/
Woa! What a disturbing game. I'm depressive already, Gord, don't do that to me... ;D
I'm playing and liking it. In a i'm-almost-slashing-my-wrists way. hahahaha! Just kidding.
Nice game.
Cheers,

It was the purpose, anyway :P
Someone mirrorred the game. http://noyan.net/files/litnsetup.exe
I hope it works better.
It sure is I test downloaded it with about 130 kb/s,
The story was and still is really great and the endings *hint hint* are really nice!, hope we see more horror adventure games from you mister Keles!
Thanks :) By the way, I have released a saved game as it is reported by many people that an inventory bug occurs after you don't kill the baby, and then shoot Burak's dark past in the mirror. I still couldn't find how to fix it in the game yet; but I have released a saved game that can be counted as a patch.

Gord10,
Can you elaborate more on inventory bug posted just above?
I did found other bugs and scripting error:
Bug:
I've found the following bug.
When trying going back to hotel, the program believe that I still missing
set of keys, the only way to enter hotel is by going back to lake which after I am magically transfer back to hotel.
Scripting error:
A script have accured after refusing or accepting shooting Alper with the gun and after seeing some credits.
Script error details:
in Room 522 script(line 21)
Error: NewRoom: Cannot run this command, since there is a RestartGame command already queued to run
I believe the above script error deals with bonus (your picture Gord10)
However, according your suggetion posted in thread, I was able in seeing picture.
Regards
I can't finish the game due to some major bugs! I keep ending up with an inventory that could not be accessed.
Where ever i go after steeling the keys make me go back to the scene where i loose my eyes. After playing this loop ending magicaly back in my hotelroom. Yes..but now again my inventory doesn't work.
Someone with a savegame just leaving for Effit market with the stolen keys?
I realy want to finish the game. It's been great so far.
HELP!
This should be my correct e-mail adres in case someone would mail me a savegame (please do!)
:)
I am having the exact same loop problem. As great a game as this is, it really should've been proofread and bug-tested before release.
Yes! It should have been bugtested before.
After playing around for some time (getting more endings this way that worked fine..but not the good ending)
i encounterd the most weird bugs. It was good for a laugh or two but spoiled the entire game for me.
The game, as far as it worked fine, was one of the best i played for a long time. Please release something that works next time and it will be the greatest game posted here i think.
Hey great game!
But I think I found a bug. After I get the music box my inventory doesn't work anymore.
I hope it can be fixed.
Yes, it looks like I should had released the game after a longest beta test. I had got so less time because of the school, so I couldn't work on the game before 2006 Summer. My apologizes...
By the way, Abandonia: Reloaded had mirrorred LitN, too.
http://dl.abandonia.com/temp/litnsetup.exe
Woot! You released it! Rock on Gord :D
I can remember thinking the demo was awesome waaaaay back.
Cant wait till its downloaded :)
Okay, I've made 2 save files, read the following for instructions. May contain spoilers:
http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/Mozesh's_Special_Save_Files.zip
Spoiler
agssave70 = Mozesh Save ENK
agssave72 = Mozesh Save GOEN
The following will explain why there are two save games.
Mozesh Save Enk is the one with not the best endings, this is done by your actions through out the game,
WHERE IN THE GAME? This is just after you got the music box from mr. Polat.
Mozesh Save GOEN is the one with the better ending, this is again done by your actions through out the game,
WHERE IN THE GAME? This is just after the happening in the market and you return to the hotel and went to the 2nd floor.
IMPORTANT! :(before using Mozesh Save GOEN please play Mozesh Save ENK to know what happens after you have the music box, the saves are at different locations due to a conditional error.
Thanks for those save files. ;D
They work. I'll contineu playing now.
Forgot to mention Mozesh Save GOEN has all the inventory items, there was no other way to get it work, so note that you only have
Spoiler
a revolver given by mr. Polat and the wooden bat you found in levent's
normally.
The game really spooked me out, thanks enjoyed it a lot!
I got a bit lost at times as to what combination of actions Id carried out in order to get to different points.
Woooow don't touch my eyes :D This is really psycho game. Congratulations Ahmet :)
Thanks to everyone :) By the way, I have got an idea: I will release a special version of Lost In The Nightmare. It will be a "deluxe" version; more than just a v1.2 thingy.
*All bugs will be fixed.
*Some new scenes will be added to the game endings; because I think they were too short.
*And the most important; some new extra playable stories about Lost In The Nightmare will be added. Think it like the "Born From a Wish" story in the Silent Hill 2: The Restless Dreams. For example, you will be able to play as the Lost One in one of the extra stories in the new version of LitN.
Also you will be able to download these extra stories 'apart' if you had downloaded the first version of the game; so you won't have to download another 88 MB to play the extra stories.
What do you think about this?
I think it's a great idea, please do!
I particularly like the "download them apart" thing. :)
What about the rest of this? Will we have to re-download THAT, or will you release a patch?
Please make it so!
But also release a patch for the "old"version please.
I want to play the old version once more without bugs. I loved it :D
Cord, can't wait for the new version of the game.
Excellent story and good backgrounds and music.
Unfortunately, the inventory didn't work when I got the lamp (see previous post about this problem). Now I'm stuck.
I hope that this helps you finding the bug
Yes, I will work on a "downloaded apartly" patch that fixes the bugs and installs the new extras (although I don't know how to make patches for AGS games yet, but I will try to do.).
You can make patches with Clictteam's free Patch Maker. :)
Yeah, I have heard of ClickTeam's Patch Maker; a friend of mine had suggested me to use it. Though I am still not sure if I could do something with the "litn.001, litn.002,..., litn.00n" things. Because the bugs were occured with some bad written scripts in some rooms; and I think that "litn.00n" files should be fixed for such a patch.
Basically what you'll do with the patchmaker is: you keep a copy of the game as it is, bad script and all; you make the changes you want; you compile the "changed" version; you run PatchMaker and it'll ask you for the location of the old and the location of the new. It'll create the patch.
Which is to say, I do believe you'll find it'll suit you perfectly. :)
The patch is prepared. Yay! :D
http://www.geocities.com/akk13us/litnv11.zip

BTW, wouldn't it be a good idea to say what the patch fixes? ::)

Hmm, I don't know why it occurs :( Try deleting, or renaming the acsetup.cgf in the Kabusta Kaybolmak folder, I think it would work tehn.
QuoteBTW, wouldn't it be a good idea to say what the patch fixes?
Ah, I have forgotten to say:
*The inventory bug, after shooting the Dark Past in the mirror, is fixed.
*When we steal the keys and go back to the hotel, we could have get transported back to the Levent's. Now it is fixed.
*We could go to the lake at some 'wrong times'. I have fixed its conditionals.
*And some other things that I don't remember now.
Peter - from what I understand, this may happen if your configuration is not the same as the one Gord had when he patched - Gord, I think next time you should not include the CFG file when patching. But if you delete the file, it'll work.

??? I give up and wait when all works :)
and yes i did read that and i don't understand it what i means.
I thought there are a patch and all works ?
Hmm.
First, I will say that this game is very good. It's not often that you see branching paths in AGS games. I like the music quite a bit; I'm a fan of Silent Hill. Some of it does skip a bit, however. And there are quite a few glitches in which scenes will play multiple times. Overall, though, it's one of the best AGS games I've played.
The English, however, is very poor.
Do you have a script? If so, feel free to e-mail it to me. This game would be vastly improved after a good editing.
Thanks, Rott :) The script is sent.
GAH!!!!! the game wont work even with the patch?!?!
lol its not fair i wanna know what happens!
hurry and fix it aye :)
Hmm, could you tell it more specifically what happens exactly? Is there a problem with the .exe file? Or the saved games?
when im heading back to the hotel from picking up the keys to the market i always get the message room cannot load no matter what save game i play even if i start over from the begining
im having the same problem whenver you come back form using the music box outside his house and stealign the keys once u walk past the market toward the hotel it says room cannot load, somthing about needing a newer version
Sounds weird :( I will look into it; and maybe will release a new patch if necessary.
Sorry, but I gotta ask this - did you restore a saved game after patching it? If so, I don't think it woulda work. I think you have to start a new game after applying the patch.
ineedhelp and Gespatcho: If you restored a saved game after the patch, then you "don't have to" start a new game; you can still cheat to pass that bug.
Spoiler
*Press F10 and activate the debug mode.
*Press Ctrl-X and go to room 489 (but don't do this if you are still in the main menu, then the mouse cursor won't change. So don't forget to click to the New Game if you restart the game)
This was a pretty amazing interactive story. I'm very impressed with the final result, although it is a tad buggy even with the patch installed. Looking forward to your enhanced version with the ability to play a bit as the Lost One. ;)
Took 3 minutes to download for me. ;D
Anyway looks good. Will get back to you when I've finished it.
Even if the game's graphics were not that good, I freaked out during the first night, I barricated my door and I didn't sleep until sunrise. Excellent game. Just excellent.

Hehe, glad to hear this :)
Sorry for bumping this thread...
I want to announce I have started working on a deluxe version. I'm not so satisfied with the recent version, v1.1.
*Some more scenes will be added into the game and the endings.
*Noise effect will be added
*Graphics of some rooms will be revised.
And maybe
*There will be an extra level where you play as Lost One, or the campers.
*There will be a commentary option that shows my own comments about some scenes (like in Half-Life 2: Episode One, or Chronicles of Riddick.)
What else would you want to see in this deluxe version?
yaba-daba-doo hoo hoo
gord is making in a new style hoo hoo hooo
shhhhh is knocking on our doors booo
cross my fingers for your game, excellent
Gord, I thought LITN was wicked! Great news to hear of a deluxe version. How will the commentary work? I think Fatman had a little button in the corner that played room-specific commentary.
Thanks :) I think I will use a similar system.
I just downloaded this game from the link up at the beginning as well as the patch, but the patch won't work with the game.... says something about the .cfg file not being the right version...
Pardon... Unknown version...
You must the .cfg-file move out of the directory, patch it and move the .cfg-file back. This way it works.
Which means, for future reference to anyone who wants to make a patch, that only the EXE file and any "GAMENAME.001" and such resource files, and maybe the readme, must be patched. Leave everything else alone, as it'll probably be the same anyway.
I'm really looking forward to play this when all the bugs are sorted out. How's the progress on the deluxe version?
Actually I must confess that I'm currently working on another thing :-[ (a little Half-Life 1 mod) I will continue on LitN Deluxe and oher AGS projects after I finish it.
I just downloaded the game and for some reason I can't install the patch.
Guess you need the delete the acsetup.cfg file that was already installed.
Then try to install the patch again.
I hope it works.
It works. ;D
I finished it and I have to say that the 18+ plus rating is unrealistic. I didn't see any nudity at all. It's a awesome game though.
Thanks :)
Spoiler
I thought the hanged campers at the end of the game would cause problems if I didn't put that rating
Gord, I played your game and I would like to tell you my impression. ('cause I hope you appreciate feedback on these things)
First of all, great game, the story was quite out of the ordinary, the gameplay was easy and I managed to play it without even having a second thought about what to do next. Right then, three problems I saw in it, which, although they didn't downgrade the experience, they bugged me. And I tend to get bugged by the little things.
1. Spelling and grammar. I must say, and please don't get offended, that Lost in the Nightmare had the worst spelling and grammar I've ever seen in any game... I understand your first language isn't English, you're turkish, but you should've at least checked it with a proof reader or something... Nevertheless, I managed to ignore it and played it all the way to the end.
2. The end. What were those pictures about?! I mean, I stay on the rightous path for hours as I play and still, all you can give me are some photos of yourself?! Man, it's not like you're ugly or anything, it's just that I was expecting something else... maybe a small movie, or something...
3. Nudity. Where?! Where?! The spoiler campers? /spoiler I played it in 320x200, I guess that was my problem, 'cause I didn't see anything. I couldn't even make out where was the baby, let alone kill it!
Whatever, those were the lows, the highs were story, gameplay and 3d pre-rendered graphics. That's about it...
A deluxe version? Hmm... Let me look into this...
Ooh... hate to double post, but what exactly does the deluxe version bring us in comparison to the normal version, Gord? I didn't read anything 'bout that...
Thanks...
Yeah, I can't say you aren't right about the negative points. Everyone can be sure that my next games will be completely beta-tested and proofread.
And the deluxe version... http://americangirlscouts.org/bbc.com/yabb/index.php?topic=23427.msg357441#msg357441 Guess you have missed this.
Ooh... commentary... no more spelling and grammar errors... more sound effects... I'm mesmorised...
Just a few questions though... Are you going to redo the entire game or just add some more stuff to the (already great) original? And will you take out those pictures of you from the end and make a proper ending? Please? That really ticked me off, to tell you the truth...
Also, I just remembered another thing that puzzles me about LitN: when to talked to the guy in the town (can't remember his name though), when he opened the door, you could see inside. There was a long corridor going to the left at the end and the wallpaper was creepy. Also, there were sounds of water, dripping like in a cavern and strange erie other sounds (I think)... At first I thought that the guy was evil or something, but it turns out he's your best friend. That was a bit odd, I must say. Care to explain?
Oh, and please consider this minor sugestion, how about you make the major choices in the game a little more tricky to decipher? I mean, killing a child, murdering your friend? A bit obvious...
Oh, and this might just be me, but the characters seemed a bit plasticky... detached... freaky sometimes when they spoke to each other. This might just be me, though...
I hope you don't take my critisism and sugestions the wrong way, Gord. Believe me, I did enjoy Lost in the Nightmare... wait a minute! There's a sequel!
*fingers tingle*
I'm even afraid to click the link.
PS: I give LitN a 9/10 on the Horror Game scale.
Kudos!
- Dan
Thanks :)

It wasn't very obvious to me when I played it. I thought that the character was self-centered rather than the kind of guy that would help anyone.
Hi ppl I come from Czech Republic and i d/l this game from czech server with non-commercial playing but full versions..
When i finished playing this game into end i had to write here bcos i didn't play so excellent game. Thx much to developers and pls email me if there are going with some news in this awesome game.
Cee ya :=
Heh. Took awhile, but I finally got around to playing this.
I had played and disliked Asporia: Hidden Threat, so my hopes and expectations were frankly low.
And then I was blown away by an amazing story. I mean, not only is the story itself very good, solid and compelling, it's also told and structured beautifully. Reminded me of The Dark Eye, gameplaywise. For me, that's high praise. Congratulations!
QuoteWhat else would you want to see in this deluxe version?
Two things:
1 - I'd like to see the mouse cursor change to ARROWS when on a spot where movement will occur. Yeah, I know that means most hotspots, and I know it's not really necessary all things considered, but hey, it's deluxe! ;D
2 - Room transitions are so SLOW! At least give us the option to make them instant, or something.
Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to either refine the graphics on some parts (this is a game that could stand 800x600 res because it's mostly a visual [very audio, too, accourse, but mostly visual] experience, and if the graphics can look clearer all the better - though they're fine as they are, mind) or increase interactivity in the rooms. I mean, either they're really pretty and rather empty or pixelated (though detailed) and rather interactive... methinks.
And of course, get yourself someone to fix your script, though honestly it's not as bad as people have made it out. It certainly didn't detract from my enjoyment. The dialogs are good, it's just the grammar that fails at times, and it's never all THAT bad. But fix it anyway. :=

There is only one instance of nudity in this game, though it involves a child. Other than that, the game is highly supportive of clothing only gameplay :=
18+ is also related to violence, isn't it? There are some rather violent scenes, even though they're not animated. And the second nightmare sequence (the not-so-good one) is downright disturbing.

I've actually played the game long enough to say that Living in the Nightmare features some very graphic violence at times. There are constant visuals of blood, crucified skeletons, violent deaths, even a corpse or two. Pretty hard not to call this a violent game that deserves such a rating as 18+.
Well, there were those two campers... but at 320x200 you don't get to see much... And it is rather gorish and bloody, so yeah, 18+ clearly.
Right, another thing that's puzzling me
Spoiler
: at that sequence where the Lost One aproaches you and you have a shotgun, and must shoot the wreched soul, I shot him, in the leg, the torso, the head and just about everywhere and still, nothing happened, he still came at me and the sequence ended. Nothing bad happened, I didn't die or anything, but it did leave a question mark in my mind.
Could you tell me what exactly you wanted to acheive with that sequence, Gord?
Thanks and Kudos.
The spoiler tag is with "hide", and not "spoiler". At any rate, maybe it's the amount of times you shot him and not where. I shot him some times, last one to the head actually, and there's definitely more to that sequence.
Spoiler
When you hit the demon about 5 times (I am not sure It remember how much shots exactly they were), he falls onto his knees, leading some other sequences. If he approaches you, he 'kills' you; but as this is just a dream, you wake up when he catches you.
Everytime you shoot him, he flinches back with a painful groan; you can understand you really shooted him then.
Oh, by the way;
*Thank you all for your comments!
*Let me announce something. LitN 2 is no more (for now). Gave up.
I just think it's story is not as pretty as the LitN 1; I didn't want a clichêd (and probably crappy) horror game sequel, just like in the commercial horror movies. And also there were some personal reasons why I gave up that...
But I'm currently working on something else with AGS. You can think of this the REAL sequel of LitN 1; even though this new game has a completely different story.
http://coolbluegames.com/magnum.jpg I will start a new topic when everything is ready for an announce.
What about a deluxe version? Is it still upcoming?
Yes, still thinking of it. Didn't proceed much, though.
I'm not sure about adding the extra level where we play as Lost One (before him selling his soul to demons). I have its story in my mind; but that scenario would not be such a scary game experience. Maybe someday I would release that extra level as another game. Actually I am just unsure if a Deluxe version is such necassary..
There will be a 1.2 version (that is not Deluxe; just v1.2) as soon as the proofreading and betatesting is completed. Some little bugs and my crappy English script will be fixed in v1.2
This v1.2 is actually just for the new players who will be downloading the game first time. And the most important; they won't need to struggle with patches, they will have downloaded the unbugged version.
The scenario doesn't have to be a scary game experience, does it? Especially since we're talking about a scenario with more dramatic possibilites, rather than scary ones. Plus, it would be a nice bonus to be unlocked after the end of the game. I *love* watching the same story from some other character's eyes, or getting to know more about some character's side of the story. Since LitN is really a story-driven game, these little extras, little short stories rather than epilogues, can only add to it.
Re non-existence of deluxe - if you feel there's no need, then need is there not. :) Still, I'd urge you to consider having the mouse cursor become an arrow when it's on a "turn-aroundable" or "navigateable" portion of the screen.
In fact, here's this suggestion, see how you like it - one single cursor, than changes automatically to/from arrows when on/outside of "navigatiable" areas, and that "activates" (highlights, really) when on a hotspot - and left click DO, and right click LOOK. Plus, of course, the inventory item.
Another suggestion - the inventory screen is clunky. If you could put the inventory in a scrolling bar at bottom/top of the screen, maybe always visible and maybe pop-up, Broken Sword- or LSL6-style...
I know you probably don't want to spend too much more time in LitN, and want to go ahead and make your other games. But since you're considering a new version, and have considered a deluxe, consider these two suggestions. It'd only increase immersion, which is always great for a story-driven game.
Yeah, an arrow indicating movement would really be a nice little touch. Would also remind me alot of "The 11th Hour" (Man, that was a great game.)
Anyone else having the problem of not being able to use the inventory after you get the music box on your way to steal the keys from that guy's hut? Ã,Â
I downloaded the patch and still no luck. Ã, Maybe it's not a glitch, I'm just missing something??
I realize that this topic is old and that Ahmet has already said he's working on a 1.2 version of LITN, but I just wanted to let you all know he's still working on it.
Infact, as of this moment, proofreading is almost done and a few more bugs have been discovered and should (hopefully) be fixed for 1.2.
I'll probably let Ahmet fill you in on the progress of 1.2, I've probably said enough.
@RichClairemont: Maybe you should try the saved games of the 1.1 version: http://coolbluegames.com/litn1/bugfixlitn.zip
Announcement
As Eniena said, I'm working on the 1.2 version. This won't be the Deluxe version I had mentioned, though; as my plans for the sub-story is to make it a new game in future. Also the noise effect doesn't look so pretty in LitN 1 despite my expections.
Version 1.2 will include
*The new proofreaded script by Eniena. I can say now the game's text is not disturbing anymore, Eniena did a really good job.
*Improvement on the graphics. I wasn't satisfied with the old backgrounds.

*Some minor bugs will be fixed. And the issues that Rui mentioned above.
I hope I can finish the new version in a few day, before going on vacation.
I have to be honest Gord, when I got you email telling me you were going to revent back to the original lines of dialogue you wrote for the current version of LITN, I feel as though I've wasted alot of my time. I reedited those lines in order to make the game fully understandable to english speaking audiences.
However, if you're willing too, I can reedit some of the lines to be in the style you originally wrote them in, while still being completley understandable to english speaking players.
EDIT: I've just reviewed the script you sent me and, I can assure you, that you've pretty much just sent a majority of the dialogue back to the state it was in before.
You really should've just told me that you wanted some lines to remain in the style they were written in before you sent me the script to proofread.
Eniena, I hope you're just agitated, and that the proofreading in the game will be more consistent than in your post. Right?
Believe me, when I get agitated, I usually tend to forget to be consistent in my writing.
In any case, proofreading is NOT finished and will be resuming due to this completley unwanted setback.
First, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the game. It is one of the best amateur-made horror adventures I've ever played. Congratulations for the author!
Second, I've also come across the already broadly discussed in this thread "inventory bug". It occurs long before you try to use the music box, but that is the first time it blocks the game. Today I will try the patch (without the .cfg file in the directory). Let's hope it will work for me.
Finally, I'd like to ask - what about version 1.2. It should have been ready by now?
Thank you very much, Fantomas :)
Yes, the deluxe version should have been ready by now. But I decided to add more features inside the game. It took longer than I expected to prepare translation pack of the game into Turkish and adding a new level. Also I couldn't manage to finish and release the new version before my university begins, I have much less free time now. However, me (and my friend who is translating the game into Turkish) doing our best.
Hi, again!
I am not sure whether this thread is suitable for my next question, but as long Gord10 is checking it, I will post here.
Yesterday, after I've applied successfully the patch, I've played the game to the end. I have tried 3 different endings (depending on a choice made in the middle of the game). Plus 1 more ending in the middle of the game, when I tried to be braver than it was neeeded and I was buried alive.
My question is - are there other endings? I tried to find walkthrough or something in the internet but in vain.
Once again - very good game, even in version 1.1.! Good work, Ahmet! I've found a bug in the very end - if you haven't taken everything, when for the second time in Levent, at the end it appears in the inventory nonetheless (the good ending). I try not to tell it directly, because it could be spoiler and I don't know how to make my text hidden.
Thanks :)
Spoiler
*The other ending (in v1.0 and v1.1) is when we decide to follow Yalcin in the forest. A death sequence, as well.
*I have noticed and fixed that bug. Thanks for reporting it, though.
And yes, it is a shame that an English walkthrough is not written yet. There is only a Dutch one.
Heyas,
Just wondering whether or not 1.2 is still 'on the way' and when it'll hit the servers for download. The game looks great but I've tried it before and I never really got on with the English. I'd love to give it a spin as soon as thats addressed. Update please!
It's a shame that Litn2 has fallen apart, the photographic art style you was developing looked promising! Glad to hear you've got more on the way though :)
Keep us posted!
Thanks for your concern :) Yes, the game is 'still on way'.
To be honest; I didn't take care of the game as much as I should had, due to some private psychological issues (also the stress of my country being in war should be added to these). I'm not still in a good mood today; but I was already planning to spend my day on PC making the game even before seeing this post. I think the best things to do is to continue on working hard.
Some earlier new created scenes were these:

It's looking very promising :)
Looks like some truly great work, sorry to hear things are rough for you at the moment. I'm looking forward to the release.. I wish you well ;D
Thanks for the speedy update!
In addition to proofreading the original game dialogue, Ahmet has promised me that he will allow me to proofread the new content as well. So there's no need for concern if any of you are worried about that kind of thing.
