The Distant Door

You are a night shift worker who has just moved into a new apartment building. While getting ready for work, you hear your neighbor having a terrible coughing fit.

It's fairly short, might take you 10 minutes at most.

2-click interface.

Got to work with some great voice actors for this one. Follow them on the site formerly know as twitter:

I liked this approach to making a game. The story and the characters stay in the centre of the gameplay, and the small hindrances along the way really only reflects how we would handle our inventories in real life. You wouldn't normally walk around with a bunch of random items, hoping they become useful.

The game looks good, sounds right, and the voice acting is well done, too. The lack of real puzzles seems like a design choice and shouldn't turn people away from giving this a go.

I agree, it looks good, sounds good and very good story telling. Shortly after starting to play I saw this as an interactive story more than a traditional point-n-click game. The description of this not-so-nice residence, isolation, was well captured. Congratulations! The RPG style did not disturb, on the contrary, the details help to immerse into the story.

I can only recommend playing this game.

RootBound

Played through to both endings. I think seeing both actually increases the impact of each, which is very good game writing. Nice graphics and I agree with previous comments that the details do a great job of helping immersion. Really good work.
