Patchwork is a short fantasy point-and-click adventure. It was a part of the Summerbatch bundle, but now it's coming to a home near you free of charge!

DOWNLOAD IT HERE!

Story:
It's a big day for Daniel - he's about to test a teleportation device he's been building for the last few years.
Will everything go as planned, resulting in a stunning breakthrough in modern science, or is he, as it so often happens in situations like this, going to end up in a parallel universe, where magic and fairies are pretty common, while cell phones and sneakers aren't?

Features:
- Two playable characters
- Hand-painted graphics at an astonishingly non-modern 800x600 resolution
- Simple two-click interface
- Minutes of gameplay
- All of the bugs and typos featured in the Summerbatch release of the game

Loved this game even though it was obviously very short.  Any chance that you might consider doing a talkie version?

Thanks(again)! It's not that short, though, is it? I mean, it takes about an hour to beat, I've seen shorter games than that. :)

Nope. :) A poor talkie can ruin the experience completely, and I don't think I have it in me to make a good talkie. Maybe in the next game? :)

Sorry, take out the "very" from my sentence!  :P

StillInThe90s

Just finished playing through this amazingly well made and professional looking little gem. Congrats!
Also, a backslap to Pavel for the atmospheric theme song.

QuoteA poor talkie can ruin the experience completely...
second that.

Any differences or fixes between this and the Summerbatch version?

Nope.

Retro Wolf

Love the artwork! The backgrounds remind me of Studio Ghibli.

I played the game and I really enjoyed it. The art and music were really good, the fairly short plot was cute and the puzzles were fun. I did have a bit of trouble with some of the puzzles but the info on the hints and tips section helped me out.

I hope that Lin does meet Daniel again one day...

Thanks for a great game

Really sweet game. Art was beautiful, although there's some odd scaling issues when characters walk in perspective, but still that's minor.

Puzzles were fun although one thing about confused me a bit:

is pixie dust supposed to be wind element?

Oldschool_Wolf, thanks! Surprisingly, you're not the first to mention Studio Ghibli, although I didn't have their style in mind at all when drawing Patchwork. I do love their work, though, and take it as a big compliment. :)

Shadow1000, glad you enjoyed it!

Anian, thank you.
Spoiler
Pixie dust is supposed to be wind essence, which is, as stated in the spellbook, a part of any magical wind creature. And pixie is one of those.

Thank you. I'm just wondering why you called the game Patchwork?

just look at the gamenamelogo on the very top of the thread. This explains a lot already ;)

Ilyich

sthomannch, thanks! Sorry about the crash, I guess I'll have to fix that. :)

Shadow1000, yep, what selmiak said. :) Patchwork refers to the way the two worlds get intersected with each other in a patchwork-like manner. That's the official version. In actuality, it's named after a great song by Tindersticks. :)

Playing it right now. Fantastic art from a great artist. Everything else is looking and feeling very professional.
Congratulations Ilyich!
Working on a RON game!!!!!
