PLOT: The Saw adventure series don't directly follow the plot of the Saw movies. They're loosely based, with different characters, puzzles, and traps. In the first game, we met two men trapped in a bathroom. In the second one, we meet two completely different people, locked up and tried for the way they lived their lives.
You play as one of the men, Jason. The other man in the room, Zepp, is chained down, and unable to move much. Under normal circumstances, you could have just left him. However, there is a huge armored door blocking the exit. It is impenetrable, as if the forces of Hell itself were holding it shut. The only way to open the door is to use the hand of your cellmate. But first you must free him from the mass of chains. How will you escape? Will you be one to live, or be one of the ones that condemned themselves? This is YOUR choice, this is YOUR life. Just remember: things are never what they seem...

It works
Not working for me either. :(
Worked fine for me.
You have to pushed the button: download (in this post) , and then click in Donwload Saw 2.zip (in other website)
Looks cool, but I remember the bad English from your first Saw game, and just reading the plot in your post hurts, looks like the English hasn't improved.
I'm gonna download the game and play it but I hope the English isn't so bad in it. That can ruin an otherwise great game.

The plot was transalte quickly with a translator. The translation form Saw 2 has been improved because 4 persons have worked in this game. Two of them have stayed living in England, other is from England and me.

Hola, Pedro. What came first, the chicken or the the egg?
I'm afraid to tell the English audience that the Spanish version of the plot, which I read on the game's website, looks like an automated translation of the English translation. In other words, it's also plagued with grammar mistakes and leaves your head spinning around trying to grasp the contents.
On the other hand, the game looks very interesting, from the images that I've seen on the website. Congratulations on finishing another full-length production, but gamers on this forum seem to take first impressions seriously and robot-written plot descriptions seem not to be attractive enough (unless we are dealing with a game about robots working at a plot-writing factory ― that would be awesome).
Teh game doe slook very good, i downloaded it and it runs, however it is in spanish so i can't play it!!!
Can you get a translator to translate this game into english???
Thanks and congratulations on what looks like a pretty good game!
SAW 2 is in english too. you should open the file "configuracion". then you should select "english translate" in game lenguage
Man, this game is a lot tougher than the first one! *runs off to start a Hint thread*
Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but the scripting suckz. The game itself is fun, but I'm getting bored of trying everything on everything. I mean, I tell the character to interact with the Sensor hoping he will use it, instead, I don't get any comments or actions. And this happens A LOT in the game. Besides that, the character moves like he is glued to the floor.
If you are stuck, ask for help in hints and tips

This is very true im afraid.
And the translation is terrible. VERY VERY VERY BAD!
if you're going to release a game, at least polish it up first!
The next game will be only in Spanish.
It's a good game, but I thought that the main character moved too slowly. The English translation wasn't that badly done, but it could use some work.
Good job Pedro, I really like this one despite the scripting and the difficulty (you make me wonder if i'm stupid :)). Maybe i can help you with the translation on the next one.
Ah, just make your next game, and give your translation to me. I can correct it to make it sound like natural English.
It's a really nice game, I hope to see more work from you.
And hey, I'm in the credits! Yay! :D
OK, this game looks much better and is more interesting then your first one. You certainly remarkably advanced in design, graphics & story.
However the English is still awful, especially the dialogues. Yes the English is better than the first game but it's still very bad. And you already KNOW your English is very bad because people criticized that when you released your first game. And STILL you didn't care to make a descent English translation. Don't you want people to love and appreciate your game? I'm sure you do! then why do you present them with such a poor English? this level of bad English just discourages people and makes them quit playing the game. It just disturbs me that you know your English is very bad because it has been criticized before, yet you make no effort to release the game in proper English. There are plenty of English natives here who would help you correct the English translation and make it presentable. All you had to is seek them and ask for help.
And again, the default language of the game is not English. Since most people here talk English but most people here don't speak Spanish, English should always be the default language.
Also the game is lacking descriptions when looking at hotspots and there's no reactions when trying to use or pick up stuff, and the dialogues are simply too generic.
So in the visual side and story development you are good and made a great progress from the first game, but in the actual most important aspects of adventure gaming elements you haven't made enough effort, the game is lacking what makes an adventure game a good adventure game - language, interesting dialogues, hotspots descriptions and interaction comments.... the whole interactivity aspect - the living the character and game world aspect is barely existant.
Alliance will improve the translation ;)
(I didn't make the translation. it was made by other person :-\ )
Yep, I'm working on smoothing out the English. (And no, I didn't do the original translation)
Should be done by tomorrow.
There is a new fix in the first post

Wrong, all you need is to run WinSetup.exe in the game directory and choose English from the language menu on the right.

That wasn't wrong! there are two ways to make that and both are right.
Anyway, I finished the game and I liked it very much. Thanks Pedro!

Ok Immortal, I only mentioned it just in case people didn't knew how to change the in-game language. How did you managed to complete the game anyway? I got stuck where you use the knife with the background of the lockless box. :).

Pedro,
I just finished playing your SAW II game and was ...beyond shocked, to be honest. You did an outstanding job in not only keeping the game true to the SAW genre - but making a VERY decent adventure game as well! I cannot state enough how thrilled I was with the game in general! Keep up the amazing work! :D
Also - on a side note - should you require an English voiceover for Jigsaw.. I can do Jigsaw's voice to a T.. Let me know in a PM if you are interested!
Take care! And perhaps I shall look forward to a SAW 3 from you? :)
Are you planning any more games in the series?
That was a while..gj anyways.
I like this game, it's really cool, I'm just having major problems with it.
As noted above I get no response from most of the actions I try to do, and the character walks extremely slowly. I can't seem to find any way of choosing my action except for keep bringing up the bar at the top of the screen, is there some other way as this takes ages to do anything?
I downloaded the fix: fix Saw2.rar and put it in the Saw 2 folder, it doesn't seem to do anything, what does it do? Do I have to do something else to make it work?
Thanks for any help.
Edit: Not to worry, I've finished it now. Very nice game, but I agree the translation does detract from the otherwise fine puzzles and atmosphere. I highly recommend getting someone with English as their first language to tidy up the dialougue for this and future games.
Good work!
#Marc2006 Thank you. I will send you a PM when I need you for this job.
#CYrus. Yes there will be saw 3. We are working hard to get the best saw game.
Here you can see an image from saw 3:

#robvalue. The fix improves the translation. It was made by Alliance.
What can you tell us about the plot? Will you post any gameplay screenshots?
