Shotgun totin' character sprite - gimme some c&c, please.

I drew up this character for a mini-game I'm planning out.

I think it's not quite bad... I think it's a little small, and the head and face look kind of funny.  Once I get a chance to work on it, I'm going to make it an animated .gif (of him firing the shotgun), and I'll edit this post.

Until then, any thoughts, comments, questions, death threats...?

The gun's a bit large, I think (never saw a real one, though)...
But otherwise it's pretty cool; I do not think that his head looks too funny... Yeah, I look forward to the animation!

If you've ever held a shotgun (I have ) you know what positions are comfertable. When having a relaxed position, which is what I think you are looking for, your going to want to have the gun close to your stomach. You also want room for the kick, so you push it forward some. Hench the elbow positions. Stand up and make a position like you are holding a shotgun. Now keep that position. Dont change it. Look at were your elbows are. Help any or did I rant?

Oh, no no... you're not ranting.

I did think there was something wrong with his posture and the way he was holding the shotgun, but I couldn't put my finger on it.  I'll try and modify the sprite a little to see how it looks.

I was actually kinda going for a casual look, as if he were ready to mow down anything in his path, not as if he's taking careful aim at a 30-point buck.

With a shotgun you wouldnt have to have careful aim at a thirty point buck.

Whoa!  Whoops...  I'm sorry, I didn't even notice that you made some of the changes to the sprite already.  Well, hey!  Thanks.  (I though it looked different...)

Of course you have to take careful aim when shooting a buck, especially a thirty pointer (you don't see too many of those).  You wanna aim carefully, and hit it in the heart, so it dies right away (I hate having to follow blood trails, it takes forever...).

Are you a deer hunter, evil?  Did you go this year?  Get anything?

Do squirels with a slingshot count? I know quite a bit about guns and hunting, but mostly hunting for people. Heh, I have a friend in Phenoix who is the head of the Swat training facility. We went down a while ago and shot guns with the pros. It was fun.

Edit: Err, wait. How about paintball? I'm awsome at that.
