Well, at least it doesn't go with the lighting in the room... And maybe you could add a little bit of some border on either side...

Well, the main problem is that your ark isn't in perspective. A shape like this would be more suitable:

You'd want the sides to be a little more parallel to the edges of your room, & obviously you can add the detail, then it should look a little more believable :)

Unless that doorway is a mouse hole, the 'ark' is HUGE. It should probably be shorter than the doorway and way thinner. Also, I wouldn't call it an ark, unless it's supposedly a chest that contains the 10 commandments (there is only one ark), or it's a boat.

I did another edit of this picture just quick, to add the lighting to the Arc, and added a tiny bit of perspective to the roof of it:

Not that big, it's nice to know you're using my walls though :)

this ark you are talking about, contains the 10 commandments AND Moses staff

Originally an ark was just a chest, but it's no longer used in that definition except to refer to the Ark of the Covenant. (containing the 10 Commandments. The Staff of Aaron is elsewhere.)

Actually was the Ark not full of Rubble as the Ten Commandments were Smashed?

look moses went to the mountain to god and got the Ten Commandments.
on his way down he saw what the people did and smashed the Ten Commandments.

then he went back again to the mountain to get the Ten Commandments again
look at:

Exodus 34:1
The LORD said to Moses, "Chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones, and I will write on them the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.

and

1 Kings 8:9
There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets that Moses had placed in it at Horeb, where the LORD made a covenant with the Israelites after they came out of Egypt.

plus i went to http://dictionary.com/ and searched for ark and this is what i got:

Middle English, from Old English arc, from Germanic *arca, from Latin arca, chest.

They kept other stuff in the Ark, too. Like Aaron's staff that budded and some manna, I believe.

euhm, no there was no manna in the ark :P Well, if we are talking about the ark of Covenant, wich was in the holy of holiest place of the tabernacle.
Here are 2 pictures, made by Ilumina Gold Bible.

I checked Exodus, and it does say that Moses chiseled two more stones from the rock...

because he threw the first 2 down in the valley, because of his anger at the israelites, that they built their own god. Then he went up to get the stone tablets again.

Hebrews 9:4 states: "...which had the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron's staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant."

That ark needs some perspective. As it is now it doesn't fit in at all. Look at my edit and you'll see what I mean:

Plus I think you should make the ark much smaller. Compared to the door it looks like a small house.

The lighting is brilliant though. Keep on going!

but i am going to put something else there, i am thinking to change the darkbrown to black and hane an item at the end which you can see,
The character wont go over to pick it up because of the carkness so he needs an item called torch and when you get it you see that this black area is a hole
