Alrightie, time to get some c&c. Some of you might remember the song "The Beautiful one and Me", a sort of collaboration between me and Goldmund.
I have taken the song and changed the lyrics - not because they sucked but because I wanted the song to be mine altogether, in case Goldmund, in an attempt to bring more money to his new family, decides to sue me for royalties.

With the brand new lyrics and a new arrangement, I had a friend of mine sing it, as her voice is highly professional, in contrast to my own rather mediocre voice. We have planned to do more projects together, so I hope to remake most of my tunes and have them sung by her.

A word of warning; this is a rather low-key, sort of sullen tune. Don't expect to be cheered up by it!

Love it as well!

The orchestration is very etheral, and very well played, nothing like your older stuff! ;D This is polished and for the type/genre of the music that is, I'd say that it's ready!

A few things to make it a tiny bit better. I think you are using the same sample/sound for the tambourine which becomes a bit tiresome after a while.
The very beginning has a weird fade in, which should be corrected I think.
The extremely lovely voice of Ida, in the very beginning sounds a tad too loud.

But in all it is close to perfection!

Thanks!
Yeah, Nikolas, I'm having a bit of a problem with the percussions; at first they sound pretty decent but they soon drown in the music, and only the rather repetative tambourine is heard. Should I introduce another percussion, or increase the beats of the tambourine? I feel that once the song picks up "power", the rather sparse tambourine hits aren't enough.
Sure, I could remove the fade-in. And lower the volume of the vocals in the beginning.

I'll have an update by tonight, but keep sharing your opinions, oh ye musicians of AGS

The tambourine is the same sound again and again. Either cut it completely, or add more stuff, to make it 'disappear'. As it stands now it ends up being a little annoying (to me). And exactly, when the song picks up, a single hit in the tamb. once every bar is certainly not enough. But the only thing I would imagine having played, percussion/drums wise would be some drums played with the brushes, so I'm not sure you have such a thing... Can't really think anything else that would fit such a peaceful song, so beautifully sung!

I’m no musician but I know a good piece of music when I hear it.

A very pleasing song indeed. Sorry, no crits for this one. (I really enjoyed that one.)
