Can you please tell me your opinion about this NPC character?
It's drawn using MS-Paint in less than 30 minutes, right of the imagination of the guy drawing it as he was drawing it.
I only told the guy who drew this that I need an Arabic King's picture, like in Aladdin and Sindbad -a Sultan-.
Is the guy that drew this talented? How can I improve his skills -he never used a computer before-, he's been playing with Microsoft Paint for a few months now.
What animation software can I use to produce animations similar to the ones in Curse Of Monkey Island?
Thanks for your feedback, C&C and your time,
AGS-GD
I think the pic's amazing and you should thank your brilliant artist very much - especially since he used paint!!
Only a few things - there's some white pixels at the base of the challace cup thingy and the leg that goes behind the other is missing a foot - i think that's all for now ;D ;D
Johnny Odd: Regarding the foot, it's meant to be that way -even though it can be made better-, since the leg at the bottom is bent behind the other leg. If you notice the non-outlined blue thing behind the foot, that is that's part of the foot that's hidden behind the leg. Thanks a lot for your feedback, but do you know any animation software that can be used to make animations similar to Curse Of Monkey Island animations?
Its EXCELLENT, only I don't know why but his ear kinda bugs me lol
i think you should supply your artist with a better drawing program, if he can do this with mspaint than he'll be able to do much better and faster in a better program...there are probably some listed at the new freeware post in general discussion.
i made some edits to the picture
- fixed white spot in chalice
- rounded shape of chalice
- added highlights to chalice
- added shadows to chalice
- adjusted angle of back leg
- defined border on back foot
- added shadow to hat
- corrected shadow color of stomach fat
- adjusted cloth that would be coming through the floor where he is laying
- darkened orange inside color of robe
- added orange inside color to the other viewable inside part of robe
- changed expression to be more befitting of a sultan; less anticipating, more critical.
- changed ear
i think the hands could use adjustment, th fingers look funky...but i didnt feel like messing with that
oh, and ....."oops" since i made the edits in paint, i saved in JPG and forgot that I cant set a high quality that way...so a lot of the image quality is lost so you can't actually use this edit but at least you see the changes...
