Title: First Face
Post by: Legendary on Fri 31/12/2010 18:57:30
Hi, Well..after waiting for my internet to return I worked on a small face project, I know its not much but could anyone give me any pointers or tips on what to add/fix on the face? The face isnt really special, just a little thing I threw together while I waited for my internet to return.

Well depends what you want to do with it. Is it a close up of a face or are you gonna put that on a full head and body sprite?

Also it's seems to me like he's doubting something with that face. And shading is off on the nose, why would there be a shadow on the tip/front of his nose?

Its going to most likely be a close up face, and as for the shading on the nose, I was trying to go for a angle, you know? When you face a certain way, and one side of your face gets more light then the other? But I am working on fixing the nose and adding a few more features to the face

Then you need to add a cast shadow on the left side of the nose too. Right now it looks like his nose is inverted and is casting a shadow down into his nasal cavity.

And where is the rest of his face?

I would suggest that possibly this "project" hasn't quite progressed far enough for the CL to offer that much assistance?
