mousemat

did you want this track to be like a jumbled up scary kind of tune?
if not then cut down on the amount of instrament playing at different times at different notes.
other than that its okay :)

Andail

There is no specific theme or melody, which makes it pretty hard to critique.
Also, I couldn't really tell what kind of mood it was supposed to convey.
Scary? Mystical? Easy-going?

truthfully, it sounded like most instruments were pretty arbitrarily put together,

This is classical trio - Piano, Violin and Cello playing free theme. This is supposed to be scary music and to be looped continiously.

mousemat

it does have that feel but personaly i would turn the sound of it that music repeated continuosely in the background.

Pet Terry

The tune is way too random. To be honest, I wouldn't want to hear that distracting music in a game. First you should think what kind of tune you need (scary? cheery? etc.) and then you should come up with a melody. After that you can start adding more instruments.

Remember, composing music takes lots of practice and time, I'd say even more than graphics. It helps if you play some instrument, you should get better hang of composing. Keep practising.

Damien

In my opinion scary music should be very slow, except when something scary happens (something pops out of the closet, a dead body suddenly opens it's eyes, ...)

I have no idea on how to explain this further, you might want to check out an AGS game called Haunted Hollow, the music in it is very atmospheric and spooky.

Sluggo

Music doesn't HAVE to have a definite melody, but it seems a bit too scattered at the moment. At least use a few motives throughout it to unify it.

By scary do you mean something is happening? or is it supposed to be more of spooky/atmospheric background music? If it's the latter then it should probably be slower and more drawn out, like Damien suggested.

Also, seeing as you seem to be going for a 'somewhat' classical instrumentation, I would lose the drums, it ruins any kind of ambience you may be going for.
