Title: Isometric
Post by: JpSoft on Sat 13/06/2009 19:01:07
Well, not really sure about where to post this, so i will try here

Im working on a Isometric Background creator. Until now, you can create things like this in five minutes

(http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/4554/bg1prueba.th.png) (http://img44.imageshack.us/i/bg1prueba.png/)

Until know, im just including the system to add block. I know its not very detailed, so im looking for tips to improve the isometric design overall. I will use a big database of predefined ISO sprites, and i want improve my skills before start drawing all them.

Designing The AGSims, eh?

Sorry I don't have anything helpful to add. Except...the way the walls line up to the grid does seem a bit odd to me. Particularly the back wall completely hanging off the grid, but that is consistent with the alignment of the front wall. Maybe if you could align it so that the walls were centered in their respective tiles that would seem less wonky?

Alcohol abuse?

I'm with monkey on the Grid alignment issue, too.  Perhaps you'd better with an altered grid, that has lines marked for wall placement, too.  For example:
