I just finished this and want some c+c. As you can see I started trying to shade his right gauntlet and boot in a different style but then gave up 8)

How could I improve it, in paticular what's the best way to go about shading something like this? I used just two tones here.
Linky no workey. Tell us where it is, and we can try to get it to show.
Yeah, it seems to work intermittently, it happens to my avatar as well.

"error file not found" upload it here (http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/upload/upload.html).
I'm no expert on graphics in anyway. I think the knight looks really good. The only thing that I could really find wrong with the knight, was the shading in his boots. The light seems to be comming from the left, yet the left boot seems darker than the right.

8) ;D :o
Wicked
Hey thats really good. :D
One bit of crit: His right foot looks like it is too rounded.
The posture is good, as is most of his body. A few more details on his face would make it perfect
Very very nice... reminds me of Knight Dirk from the old Dragon's Lair games...
And in terms of resolution... it's really the hires-version of LucasArts style, I like it very much.
Nice form :)
The shading is a bit odd tho, if your lighting is from the left then the entire bottom of the right boot will not catch the light like that. The right arm guard is also inconsistent with the lighting, the highlight should be on the left, not center.
And as Andail said, the face could use a bit more details. Overall, great work!
Wow, this is very good! Good pose and proportions.
Besides the face as mentioned, I feel that there's just one problem. His right cuff-shield (that metal thing on his wrist) seems to have more detailed shading than the rest of the picture, for example his belt buckle.
This is cool - great pose, great expression, great costume!
Thanks for all that feedback.
I'm not very good at faces yet but it's something I'll improve. The shading is different on the right cuff and boot cos I started more detail but got bored.
And the shade on his left arm is supposed to be shadow from his body, as the light is coming from left and forward a bit, I'll move the highlight.
And I drew it from a sketch I found on the internet so don't go thinking I'm amazing yet. 8)
Anyways, I'll probably get around to improving it sometime, I'm working on an entry for the sprite jam without a guide at the moment.
great work! the face dosent so much need more detail as the lines need to be darker so that they stand out a little more.
