Title: Meow =^.^= (or, "pixel art")

Well, once again I'm taking a shot at making this character, as a break from the bleak dystopia of Technobabylon. I think she's looking better than my previous attempts have been able to achieve, but if anyone can give me some pointers on how to improve pixel art, I'd be obliged! Frankly, I'm not happy with the 3/4 standing view.

I'm not sure what kind of thing she wears. If it's an apron, it probably won't stick around her breasts like that but hang rather flat.

- yeah, I'd make the apron around the breasts to look more like a tight t-shirt (talking about the 3/4 view).
- and on the waist (front view) I think the apron should be formed around the body (the outline of the apron should be where the outline of the body is), it might not look like that in real life, but with so little pixels, it keeps it clean.
- in the 3/4 view, you did the chin wrong (well if it's anime anyway), in the left part of the face you made it too wide (just a pixel though) and the chin isn't pointy looking enough
- also, some real world/anime clash - anime chracters have long legs. So the part from her neck to about her belly button should be compressed and from belly button down stretched, but keep her height the same
- on the 3/4 view her right shoulder is perhaps a bit too portruded (just moved it a pixel to the right) while the other one is a bit too curved (make it look more like her right one, more angled)
- a minor detail as well, you drew it fine but you kind of mixed the ratio of her head elements when pixeling. Maybe make her hair go a bit more up and less to the sides

I'll draw it to show you what I mean, if I find the time.

Well, I'm not the one to teach, but you may allow me trying to participate with learning about this?

I did some little changings on the face (to make it a bit more a woman, than a girl), hair and smock on the second .
The right one got the hair like the others and I liftet different points one or two lines up (to be at the same high, when turning around) and some little other stuff, you can see better, than me telling it.

If you mind me doing this, please tell and I will erase it immediatly, of course!

Actually, I like what Tabata did with face, though I went in another direction and went with more serious than cute look. Her face looks different in every view, but maybe it'll give you ideas of what style to choose.

A quick and sloppy edit, but it might give you some ideas:

Went from Anian's edit there. Didn't really bother to do the shading, so the hair and ears look off in this respect, but hopefully it looks more balanced now. I've no idea what's the right way to do cat ears (to be completely honest, I find them a little disturbing :P), but yours seem like they grow straight from the top of her hair, and anian's looked like devil's horns, so I moved them down a little. I also changed the skin tone. Hope it helps.

@cat
In general I can agree, but we both know about girls-tricks with tape, don't we?  ;)  ... and maybe Technocrat does know it, too?  :o

@aninan
Thanks a lot!  ;D
I try to stay (or get even nearer) to the pencils-drawing of Technocrat with the form of the face.
To solve the "problem" Technocrat told about:
I was missing a peace of the neck in the 3/4-view , so I made it wider. Was it wrong? I also tried to show more of her hipps. Therefore I put the arm a bit more to the right (like in the front view). Also changed the boobs to come nearer to front view and put a shadow here and there.
