So i'm working on the above midi and trying to maybe make it a little longer and work on it a bit, but so far I haven't really been able to expand too much.
And I know the percussion is, well. Boring, but when i put other percussion in it sounds to me like it's taking over too much, and I'd like the focus to be on the guitar and piano.
So if anyone has any crits or comments, that'd be great.
Thanks.

Right now it's great as a backing track, the guitar and piano pieces work really well together. (and I like the ocean sound at the beginning, adds to the whole atmosphere).
The only thing it's lacking is a strong melody -- With a good melody this could be a really nice piece.

Good work though.

Why does every midi make me think of harvest moon?

I think it sounds really good, the wave sound at the start gives it a soothing feeling...Though for some reason I can't help but think of Home & Away when I hear it.  :P I hope that didn't offend you. Is it the main theme or dont you know yet?

I sort of like it, not a bad one. Slow indie like songs are not my favorite, however this is definetely one of those. You can sort of make it soung like FF music, that would own.

I mean, is it the games main signature theme, or just a backing track?

Haha, it's not for a game at all, actually. :)

I suppose nobody will say no to a quick "overwash", as I'd like to analogously call it. Criticism: Drums too boring and lacking clarinet solo. I fixed it.
