Not enough Ocean Spirit in him imo.

Oh, come on. It looks like a genuine, honest effort.

Mog, have you tried animating this? The biggest problem I see is that, although it appears to be a side view, we're seeing far too much of his torso at an angle that appears to be facing forward, so it's almost like he's doing a crab-walk. Also, seeing both of his eyes on a left or right walkcycle seems odd.

He also has a very strange posture, and his legs are a bit short. Although I'm not the best artist on the forum, I gave this a shot, first your version, then mine.

Domithian's edit is pretty good, but I remembered a tip around here which says to make the side view a slight "S" shape.

Also, fixed the front view, the hourglass shape (although personally I have it as well) is usually perceived as feminine, and I think this is a guy, right? so I gave him a more rectangular shape.

I changed the colours a bit, made the eyes and pants brighter so the eyes would be more noticable and the pants be more contrast to the darker hair and the arms easier to distinguish if the animations will overlap each other.

Be aware that this is a protagonist for an icey game, and thus is a clone of a Square Enix character. I'm pretty sure feminine is what he's going for.

Ah but you see, the artist here mentioned that this is his first try in making a sprite in an "ags style".

And although there are a variety of styles here, the 'Roger' sprite is used for the basic game templates, so I figured he'd want it to be more towards that or Blackwell Legacy, 5 days, etc etc.

I suppose the style of the character is interesting, but you should try giving him a top - and a neck! :)

He has a neck it's just he kindda shorter then my chracter dave so you really can't see his neck to good, same with dave only you can still see his mouth.

I don't have much to offer in any technical criticism, but I've got to say that that's a fascinating and crazy character style. Keep at it I suppose.

I'd call it an improvement.
