Title: New Alien charactor for 'OtS'

Here is my new alien charactor for my game, Off the Side. I made it from this (http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/many_eyed_alien.JPG) sketch I drew.

I've been working on it all afternoon and I'm quite pleased but I would like some C&C before I continue animating it :).

I think it looks pretty sweet ...

I've seen some of your other art and I think this'll fit in nicely.

I would suggest adding some of the lighter shading (as on the arms) to the head/eyes area.Ã,  And maybe adding a little more darker shading to the arms area.Ã,  To balance out the shading/hilighting.

Just a suggestion!

Other than that, I don't have much to say.Ã,  It's good :)

i like it, nice animation too. Maybe you should rework your main character with a little more detail to fit with your new greatly improved art?

There's actually naothing to C&C, because it's nonexisting lifeform, so it could look excactly as you want to and it's still right. And it looks good, too.
Maybe try to color hands same color as the body is?

the nostrils and 2 pixels from the mouth i don't think should change for that one frame.

it just looks awkward, if you had it move more than 1 frame it might work better

I really like the character's design, especially the contrasting forms you've employed (like the thin eye stalks against the robust musculature).

Unfortunately, I think it's painfully obvious that you drew half of him and just mirrored it (adding a tail afterwards).

If you gave him a more dynamic pose, I think you'd have a sprite worthy of Emperor Akihito!

It's cute!
I thought the nostril change was a breathing thing, which would work better if it was more than one frame.
I'm a bit disturbed by the stance too. Couldn't you give him a pair of boxer shorts? :P Or turn his hips away from the camera...
Very interesting as usual!

Thanks for the help. I'm working on a better stance at the moment and improveing the breathing animation.

What's up with his right arm? Does it change size when he lifts the left one?

hmmm...  his hand gets bigger when he lifts his left arm... I'll fix it pronto.

by the way has anyone got any ideas for a name for him? He will be a mechanic and pilot.
