Okay, meet Peter.

This is his walkcycle as far as I've done it. I've had a look at it in AGS and it looks pretty good, but there are certain things I still need to do.
For, example, someone told me once that there's a frame where I should lower the head by a pixel to make it more realistic. But I'm not too sure how to go about doing this.

He's supposed to be a 6 year old kid, carefree and slightly mischievous. His arms are meant to swing up and down like that.

Does anybody have any suggestions or comments?
If you can find a way to improve it somehow it would also be greatly appreciated. This is my first walk cycle and it took me while.

The best way to improve this is to greatly reduce the number of frames you are using.  I can't stress this enough that for small animations, LESS IS MORE.  Try 6-8 frames, taking the best ones out of the 18 you have there and I guarantee you will see an improvement.  Here is a 6 frame version of your animation, note that I had to redraw each frame because his arm and leg motions did not work properly

Hope this helps.

Thanks man, I seriously appreciate the time you put into this.
I'll remember to use less frames.
:D

How do I separate this do-over of yours into frames now?

Well since it's a GIF you have the added advantage that AGS allows you to import it as seperate frames, just look around in the sprite manager "right-click" menu.

If you find nothing there, then you must not have the version where that was introduced, I disremember which version it was...

Ok, so I'm just someone now. I see how it is.

Is it just me, or os he growing a beer belly?

Well Zor, you can't expect me to remember all the tonnes of seemingly useless crap you pump into my head.

And thank you Brisby, that's exactly what I needed.

Thanks frogie,

I just wanted to emphazie the carelessness in his arm movements.
I'm definitely going to use progmaxes redraw but I think I'll edit the arm movements still - even if only a little bit.
