Ok so this is a sprite that i did tonight of a pilot  for this space adventure i am making.

I used Ivy's guide to get a good idea about how to do it..

The Things i had problems with were..

- Shading
- Getting an appearance on his face
- his collar sticking up
- and his arms looking correct

also what do  you think about the gun holster, does it look like a gun would be in there?

All comments are welcome :)

Thanks.

Another quick edit, but maybe you'll like it.  I gave him a smile so he fits the rogue space pilot attitude

1.  Added a face
2.  Adjusted size of arms and legs
3.  Adjusted shoulders to be closer to neck
4.  Shading, shading, shading

Hey, glad you liked the tutorial!

Here's what I did to your poor, unsuspecting sprite:

Big things:

Good start, I'd like to see what you come up with next.

Hey, glad you like it, Lionheart.  I use Microsoft Paint for everything.  The eyedropper tool is my best friend.

I really liked the colors in your original, very retro. Perhaps I got a bit carried away with my "paintover". Just one possible direction you could take your sprite in.
