As pretty much none of you know, I have been spending some time in the musical realm. So far I have learned how to fake my way through songs, and how to spin the knobby things on a synthesizer.

The name I am operating under is Khan Markhan. Why? Because it sounds cool. To date, I have recorded five "songs" which I prefer to refer to as "Aural Experiences."

The EP is called "The Wrath of Markhan" and you can download it by clicking the album cover below:

If you'd like to listen to the album without downloading the whole zip file, you can stream it from Grooveshark here: http://aedmark.com/post/759326828/new-ep-released

Positive: it's good, I guess, can't really tell (which is my lack of knowledge and experience and nothing to do with you). I rather like Rate of change and I really love the sort of calming/sad and yet creppy vibe of Steam crawling

Neutral: sounds like I'd imagine a soundtrack to an LSD trip would sound

Rough: at times (first and second song especially) it really almost sound like you're just "spinning the knobby things on a synthesizer" and personally I would put this between "ambience" and "new age"genre, and those are kind of hit and miss for me (either I like them and think they're cool or I don't and find them boring). then again it also depends on the mood.
I don't want the world, I just want your half

Anian: Yea, I try to make no illusion that I am a real musician. I am just learning, and have an eager desire for output.

I'm in the process of writing actual structured songs now with a real-life band. So we'll see where that road takes me.

Thanks for listening!

Very nice EP, LGM. I dig it. Reminds me a bit of early Walter/Wendy Carlos - not in style so much as the unique moods it evokes. Cool cover artwork too (my first reaction was "wow, awesome photogram" - then I realized most people's hands aren't transparent and it was more likely a scanner effect ;)).

I guess by posting this in Gen Gen I may have implied I wasn't looking for criticism, but that is untrue.

I welcome any and all input, friends. Don't be afraid to tear it apart.

Also, thanks for listening GarageGothic! Much appreciated.
