Title: Underground town background for C and C
Post by: SinSin on Fri 27/04/2007 13:42:03
Hey folks me again

Here is another piece of my work, it is an underground town. The Pool in the middle is supposed to look like a meteor (its been there quite a while might i add)
What do you the people think of it and do you have any ideas for the back wall.
Other things like lamps, washing lines etc will be added in the foreground and where the light patches are
Thanks   Sin

It's a nice and clean style so far, good work.

I'd thicken the walls of the left house, they look like cardboard atm.
Add some structure to the big empty areas, little cracks, rocks, stuff like that, but don't texture them too much.

Another nitpick: the angle of the crater seems to be almost too flat and the bright lines on the sides should be a bit darker to fit the round edge.

Yes, looks very nice, however I feel the wood used to board up the window seems a little "bright", perhaps dull it down a bit, add some darker shadows between the boards? Besides that it looks fantastic, good luck with the rest of your work.

It's quite boring unless you add the light beams and the lamps. I added some light beams from wholes in the ceiling or something.

Also, not sure how the meteor thing works with the pool, but I put some dirt around it to make it look embedded. Changed some of the colors to make them less saturated.
