Title: Where to upload my files
Post by: Joe on Sat 11/11/2006 12:42:45
Hey everybody.

I really need your help.

I've been trying to upload my files in lots of places, but all of them crashed in a short period of time(1 week, 2weeks...)

Here is the list of my tried places:

www.fileupyours.com
www.450mb.com
www.filespacer.com
www.google.com (this one didn't crash but it doesn't let me upload files bigger than 14mb)

And more...

I'd like someone to tell me a website to upload my files, but with some requirements:

- It doesn't crash in any short period of time
- It gives me direct links (I don't want places like www.rapidshare.com)
- I can upload files bigger than 30mb
- I can store at least 100mb
EDIT: - And it's free

Thankyou very much for reading

I'd recommend you to buy some space of your own from places like iPower (http://www.ipower.com/) for example. I bet 100 mb wouldn't cost too much. And it gives you much more freedom than those free hosting services.

Have you tried the Suggestions for worthwhile server to upload demos to (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=7920.0) thread in Games in Production? Although, since it's mainly for Demos, the size limits mightn't be high enough for you. I'm sure this has been asked many times before over the years - did you try a search?

AGS Uploads (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=22428.0) seems to be down from the server change, but once it's back up its 100Mb of free space for AGS related stuff, don't know about any limits on individual file sizes.

Like I said, it's down from the server change:

Yeah uploading doesn't work since the forum move and I can't work out why yet.
It doesn't work for me either, and I'm assuming it's still that.

It was more for future reference, not immediate use.

Oh I see, all right.

And do you know when is it going to be available?

I think the purple hair could use some work ... but other than that, the image is solid.

I like the use of color in the dog's hind legs.  Very well done.

I'm not sure why the angel is on the stripper pole, but that's your choice.

Keep up the good work!!

Why did fileupyours not work?

I use that all the time and so far it hasn't crapped out on me yet.

Try this: http://www.megarotic.com/

Its meant for uploading big files though i'm not sure what the biggest amount is.

Of course you could try RapidShare.

But for files, uploading.com is great.

Thankyou very much, I think www.uploading.com will be fine for me at the moment.
But it doesn't give me direct links, anyway thanks.

R4L, Fileupyours crashed because of the bandwith, I also thought It was gonna be great, but it was too wonderful to be real
