Title: AGS Game Video Ad Question
Post by: MoodyBlues on Wed 22/04/2009 04:52:12
Anybody know how you could record a video of an AGS game?  And once you've recorded it, are there any free programs you can use to edit it and add sound?

FRAPS works.

Fraps is like sooo easy in use  :D I have been using it for a while now. But I have yet to find a video editing program that is quite as nice.

Fraps is great for fullscreen stuff, but for windowed things or if i just want to record a certain section of the screen i prefer to use CamStudio (http://camstudio.org/) which is free, and can also convert AVI to SWF (Flash).

VirtualDub? It's free and very professional indeed.

I use Camtasia for recording and editing, though editing is very limited. I haven't switched yet because I like their video compressing (30mb for 10 minutes game video which looks just as good as the raw material).

If a better editor program has better compression, please let me know.
