Hey,
after the acclaim of AGS: The Comic, i have made a second issue, which can be viewed here (http://www.gnomz.com/comic-61657-Adventure+Game+Studio%3A+The+Comic+%232.html)
Cheers,
Blake.
what the hell...
not sure if you remember (or perhaps hadn't joined the forums yet) when i posted the original AGS: The Comic. It spurred both critique and criticism but overall rated pretty well. So i developed a second. i am planning to do a series of 3 more AGS Comic issues, hopefully the fifth out early 2006.
Cheers,
Fb.
I'm not sure if I had joined the forums at that time either, but this is an unreadable mess with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. No art, no humour, no storyline, no nothing. Better direct your efforts elsewhere.
you kinda had to read the first one to get it.

this be the first, it was also horrible.
Who is that Helm? How he dares to annoy Fluebukakke and his lovely, mature and artistical comic?
And the award for most sarcastic forum member goes to.... FARLANDER!!!
Thanks, I'll sum it to the "Less finished projects" award I already have in my shelves. ::)
Talking seriously... Relax... I don't give a fuck about your "moogoos with peanuts" desserts and your "cut and paste" comics. I think many people shares my opinion.
Now you can do whatever you want with my advise, even starting a war which you'll probably win, because here people is pure and likes to keep a feeling of total freedom for starting new topics.
But even wining you should still looking lame if you go on with this...
Good luck with your decission. :P
Be gentle with the poor lad, did you now see his sweet lil picture in teh photo thread?
I'll copy it here for you...

It looks like a static frame of your former "dancing in the dark" avatar SSH. ;)
Well, you know I did make it with an American girl about 14 years ago... ;)

*choke* *snort* *raucous laughter*
It may seem rather elitist of me to express my amusement except that it's so damned easy to check how long Helm's been around (postcount and "Transferred from EZboard" should give some indication). Not elistism.. observant.
Farl's never been tactful but I can't say I disagree. Spliced art (splicing mechanism provided by website) with quips fairly irrelevant to individuals you don't know don't exactly portray skill or wit, merely copious amounts of time on one's hands.
Argh! I promise I am trying to be more tactful, and I start a tactic of advising (first) and sarcasm (in second term) to make people know my opinion. But sometimes... :-\
Did that thing actually have a plot? If it did, it was damn complicated. Same thing with Halo, which I know to have a plot, but I didn't quite understand what was going on. Especially 'round the flood part. Well, I think this case isn't that big loss, though...
I don't care for the 'how long have you been around' thing. I was gone for years, I recently came back, hey.
I didn't want to discourage you from doing comics. But this isn't a 'comic' even. Break out the pencil and paper. Create your own characters and leave Kinoko and Zor and whomever else alone. Figure out storylines, do whatever you want, and since you're young it will probably suck at first, but it will get better if you keep at it.
I'd probably suggest to stop clinging on this community as much as you are... 'ags comics'? Come on. You probably won't listen to me, but hey.
Sorry FlakeBake, I agree with Helm. I didn't understand the humor at all. Maybe you should read some Calvin and Hobbes, Dilbert, or Garfield before you show all of us anymore of this comic. I'm sure you meant well in making it, but alas these efforts are in vain. :'(
Humor is something that is witty and gives that sense of familiarity... what you have, lacks both.
Keep reading comics, write down your life experiences that you know others would find amusing and maybe you get a smile out of at least one of us. ::)
I was confused by the limit of two characters per panel, even if there was a group of higher numbers than that. They'd sort of...disappear and cycle round, it was quite confusing.
But also, it could use some humour.
This one freaked me out even more!

NOO! Not Garfield! Please, FlukeBluke, do not take inspiration from Garfield! That comic hasn't been even remotely funny for years!!
Whaha that one was halarious, oh wait...it wasn't.
If you would like to start your own webcomic, please atleast make the graphics yourself and try to add humor that most people like/understand.
Garfield was funny?
Yes. It still is.
You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. There's nothing wrong with the comic, I actaully think it's quite good considering Blake's Mental Disability.
Yea.. Would you tell a kid with Downs Syndrome his finger paintings suck?
Depends. How bad are they? :=

Garfield was funny?
Sorry... In comparison to this comic... anything is. ;D
This forum is degenerating.
Blake, I hope you ignore their loutish behaviour and stop posting threads for a while.
I think this section desperately needs some new approach to tackle unwanted posters because this is embarrasing and sadistic.

yeh, unfortunately the program used to make it only allows two characters per panel.
I'm sorry. I shouldn't be one to maliciously attack another. But come on we've given this boy enough warnings, he just doesn't listen.
When Loominous posts outside of the Critics Lounge, you know there's a problem. :)
Hehe... I have my opinion divided.
Loominous is right, and the rule "If a post is silly, don't reply" has been followed quite successfully for a time.
I like that rule... So nobody pretends to be a moderator and people who posts threads with no interest at all receives the message.
But LGM is right too. This guy is flooding the Gen Gen with threads with no sense at all, and people are using this as a escape valve. If it has been the first time, the second, or the third, people should have tried to be moderated, but it's obvious that this does not work. This is like educating a kid. If he fails four subjects you might follow dr. Spock's book, sit and talk with him seriously from man to man. You can do it the next year if he fails too... And the third.
But you'll probably send to hell dr. Spock's book and all your children psychology knowleadge if he fails again the next year, and you'll start shouting and blaspheming...
I see this like that. I think fluke is trying to post in the way most of the people think it should be done... This is an obstacle in his education, and maybe a step back, but it might be necessary to start the run again with more energy than before.
Is this thread interesting, helpful or funny?
I think not.
