Comics that can fight Nazis...

The official Fate of Atlantis comic book.

So, how does it compare to the actual game?

Well, it follows the plot points, but the actually story leading to each plot point has been rewritten. For example, instead of Kerner just ransacking Sophia's apartment in New York while she and Indy are in the theatre, Indy first camps out on Sophia's couch for the night while Kerner sneaks in with some dirty Nazi agents. Indy awakes and starts a pretty cool fight where Indy gets shot in the shoulder but still manages to kick a Nazi out of a window.

I found three issues at a recent comic convention (Yah, I'm a geek) and am hunting for the rest.

The first issue also has an afterword by Hal Barwood talking about the game and its adaptation to comic.

Anyone else own it/read it/seen it/ate it?

There are copies of it floating around eBay all the time. If you try to find a copy of Fate of Atlantis the game, you're just as likely to come across a copy of the comic.

Actually, here's something you won't find on eBay. Along with me at the convention was my best friend Rick and another buddy of ours, Shannon, plus this friend of Rick's named Matt.

One of the guests was Leinil Francis Yu who was drawing stuff for people as well as signing stuff. Last year, Rick asked Stuart Immonen at the previous convention to draw him a picture of something special, but Immonen just acted like a pretentious dick and refused to do it. This year, Rick asked Francis Yu for the request...

Rick: You've probably been drawing stuff like Wolverine and that sort of thing all day, but what I'm going to ask is a bit... different...

Francis Yu: *laughs* Okay...

Rick: Can you please draw Iron Man drinking beer from his helmet?

Francis: Sure.

Oh, I know you were so THERE. I've made it a goal each year to visit you and Patrick and buy something. Gotta support locally-made comics! Woo! (Note to all: Buy Raymondo Person. Even just visit the website.)

I forget which stall it was. It was somewhere in the middle. I had a map that showed where it was, but Plato made an error on it. (boom-ching!)

But The Evil Dead one I bought from the stall directly across yours.

Sweet finds man...It rocks that you guys live in the same area. Not a lot of that happening here on the west coast of warland....Potch lives near me but she dosen't appear to be a devoloper....

But, since you've seen Kinoko in person can you lay to rest a common misconception? Does she really have a freaky cyclops eye or is that just crap? I called bullshit on it a while ago, but you know rumors....
