It looks to me like some energetic fanatic for the game, Apprentice, that desperately wants to get the part as Pib for the talkie version.

It wasn't an act of egocentricy (or whatever you call it), I just thought it was a funny link (I was unaware of the show The Apprentice), and that funny picture made me laugh because it was so stupid, and everything kinda fit for Apprentice. Anyways, you get the idea.
