Hi Guys,
I downloaded artgem 1.11  the shareware program and found out it was a great for bckgrounds. The problem I have is it doesn't allow you to save it in .gif,.png,jpg or any standard format. It only allows you to save in their own format. I know this is because the program is shareware but how come many people here use it draw graphics for their ags games

If I remember correctly, after saving with ArtGem you can use a separate program to convert the file to a more standard format.

As well, you can do what I do and screenshot it into paint, for quick and easy saving. ;D, well not quick and not too easy either, but it works.

With which program, do you know?

Mr Flibble

Theres a program called Irfan View which can open and save almost all image formats.

Alternativly, just crack it.

BEFORE YOU START SHARPENING YOUR STOUT STICKS: This is not morally unethical. ArtGem was discontinued years ago, and there is no way of paying for it even if you wanted to. This means there is no way to get the full version without resorting to a keygen. So there is NO OTHER WAY to save it as the file you want.

These are readily avaliable, and with a few minutes work you'll find one. I can post no links though... the mod team will start stealing the bricks from my house one by one again.

Heh. Shout sticks.

Dark Comet, is this the same crack that allows you to make pcx files with ArtGem or does it do that anyway?
