I think a cool game idea would be some young wimpy loser who wants to be pirate. Because you know, pirates are t3h awesmoe! But of course he has to pass some trials first...
A little more thought into "why" wouldn't go amiss, why a Lost game? What do you think would make it a good point & click? How would it be made? What special or new features would it include? Please post a little more or this thread will be locked, as we get these posts all too frequently. Plus, a Lost adventure game has been suggested many times...!

Sorry dude, you're not thinking this through. I'm sending it to the furnace.
Oooh, adventures about TV series! We urgently need this!
Oooh, parodies! We urgently need those, too!!
:=
Oooh, sarcastic posts about the ideas of other people! We need more of these now!
( := :=. I'm better than you. ;))
Wouldn't be cool to play a game where you can walk around and kill stuff? I'd play that game.
Yeah... And it could be from a first person view! That would be soo... cool! And awesome!
Who needs to play when 3D maze screensaver will do all the walking for you?
The only serious suggestion I can give at this time is a Crystal Maze point & click. That would be amazing. Timed puzzles galore though! ;)
Oh, oh, and with bullet time and, like, screen blur effects! And HDR and AAS and CIA and Lens Flare!!!!1!1(one)
Well, let me help the kid out by posting a serious suggestion for a game idea.
I've been looking for a game like this for a very long time, but no one seems to want to make it. I would really, really like to play a game where you are a young captain being offered the command of your first starship. You would get to select and outfit your vessel and hire your crew, then investigate a never-before charted galaxy. The entire game would be from the first-person perspective of the captain, and instead of controlling the ship, you would control the crew by giving them orders. You could chart the galaxy, be given military or science missions, take a shuttle or a fighter out and pilot it through the galaxy, or "beam" down to a planet to explore or deal with some Star-Trekkian away team mission.
It would be doubly cool if it could be multiplayer, with each player being in command of a different ship.
I found out a couple years ago about a game called "Battlecruiser Millenium," and it's successor "Universal Combat." Such a good idea wasted by such a moronic game creator...
Well, there already is Galaxy of Fantabulous Wonderment. Nearly the game you described, without selecting the vessel, hiring the crew and mapping the galaxy. In near future, there will be that game named Mech Gladiators by Dan, which will also feature ship stuff. No idea if that game'll be a success or how big the ship part will be or whether Dan will screw it up, though.
::waves fist at sky:: DAAAAAHHHHHNNNNN!!!!!!!!!
Let's just hope he has a good health insurance if the game ends up as screw-up.
But anyway, to get back to topic, if you're looking for game ideas, here's a good spot to start:

(the same wiki also features an article on how to work as a lone developer, you should read it).

Er, well, sorry, but that sounds quite a lot like Elite to me. Famous indie/lo-budget game, got two sequels, even.
I bet the real lost game will suck. Even if the makers of the king kong game are making it, I can't help but feel it will suck monkey balls.
And Radiant, did Elite have a crew? Out of ship experiences? Wasn't Elite just a space trading/shooting game???
JUNK

I'm not sure why everyone is obsessed with my genitalia. :P
The Office: The Game
If you need me, I'm throwing up in that corner over there.
Remeber the Da Vinci Code game, anyone? They tried to make a game everyone likes and ended up with one everybody hated.

Oooh, adventures about TV series! We urgently need this!
how about the A-Team adventure game. where you get to play all the characters to do different tasks. BA is the strong one and needed for all the heavy tasks, Face always is clever and wears disguises so he is always sent in to get information , murdoc will be the one to fly things and hannibal just stands around, shoots his gun and says "i love it when a plan comes together" hehee ( well. maybe hannibal can have a better role) At the start of the game face needs to break out of the mental institution. At some point when you need to fly you need to give BA a knock out drug before getting too close to the airport or whereever the plane is. otherwise he gets angry and you have to take him somewhere else to make him forget all about it. then you have to try again. And lets never forget that at the end they need to build some big thing out of junk parts.
You know. I'm actually going to do a game of Emmerdale now that you gave me the idea. Thanks!
A-Team adventure game?

Not sure if this is just made for fun or if he is really making the game.
DOH. well. hopefully he is working on it. besides though just because one person is working on it doesnt mean someone else cant do one.
Isn't there already a Lost game for them phones? Adventure yes; p'n'c, ofcoursenot.

There's a Saw game? Hook me up! ;D
Once upon a time I did some rough sprites for

aw man that game would be so cool (A-team i mean)
Yea an A-Team game would be great,
Imagine the possibilites,
The A-Team trapped in a room with nothing but some lipstick, wire mesh, A couple of nails and a bucket that they find in the room..... and wow, they managed to make a fully working Rocket Launcher. I never understood this properly in the A-Team but it would make a better comedy.
Also the fact that No-one ever got killed. They would just be incapacitated even after a major explosion.
-
And Tintin and Sledge Hammer and Alien and Predator and Alien vs. Predator and Miami Vice and CSI and Starcraft and Diablo and Warcraft and Doom and Duke Nukem and Quake and Command and Conquer the point and click adventure game games.
-
Duke Nukem would pwn them ALL.
Too bad he's all outta gum...
I always thought A-Team was a crappy English teenage band with 3 girls and 2 boys or something ???
Are you confusing it with A-Teens?
Who are those, anyway? ¬¬
Apparently S Club 7, who are ... something teenpop. what ever
Progz, that is great!
And an A-Team game would be really great. It would be like Maniac Mansion but with 4 playable characters instead of one... this game MUST be done...
A StarCraft adventure game... hmmm...
Gah, I can't finish this post, I must go hide from Esper...

QuoteI must go hide from Esper
Which way did he go? Which way did he go?
Wait a minute? What did I say to prompt that?
EDIT: Aha! You're the mech gladiators guy!!! Get back here!
Be vewwy vewwy qwiet. I'm hunting Dan...
Hm, "Avoid the Pitfalls of Everyday Life"
At the beginning you'd select your character and his flaws, bad habits and tendencies, like:
* tendency to fall asleep anywhere
* get in irrational arguments
* hurt oneself while looking at girls in traffic
* get too drunk
* smoke too much
* being clumsy and dropping expensive stuff
* kleptomania
* making loud noises
* becoming infuriated
... and so on
and then you'd take that person for a sidescroll down the street and try to tackle the 'opponents' (being factors that triggered these unwanted reactions).Ã, Think it might be pretty fun.
* Distracts Esper with a piece of cheese while Dan posts *
I really liked those A-Team and Evil Genius ideeas...
The A-Team game could be made in episodes (like the new Sam & Max games) so that it gives that TV show feel, and so that it doesn't get too complicated plot-wise.
I think this will be my project after finishing MG, but I may screw it up, so maybe someone else could do it...
Now, to evade my predator once again...
