Well, perhaps some of you may not have known him, but Bob Denver, well known for his role as the bumbling "Gilligan" character he portrayed on the once popular "Gilligan's Island" TV show (which still runs in many countries in syndication), has just passed away at the age of 70.Ã,  Ã,

I remember when I was a kid, rushing home from school to turn on the TV to watch the Gilligan's Island show (Ack, am I really getting that old now?) . It was always funny to see what kind of trouble Gilligan would get into, or to see how he would inadvertantly mess-up the shipwrecked group's chances of escaping or being rescued from the Island... and then the big 'ol Skipper shouting "Gill-iii-gaaan!", and *Wap* hitting Gillian with his Skipper's hat. Classic stuff.Ã,

So, it's time to say "Bye Bye Gilligan", I'll sure you'll be remembered and missed by many.
