ENJOY!
That doesn't scare me. The price of filling up my gas tank scares me more.
Doesn't scare me. Sorry, I couldn't enjoy it, because it was a poorly made attempt to scare internet newbies, with its lack of sound effects (I thought the 'ghost' was crying??) and crappy visuals (the 'ghost' didn't even move, and it didn't even look real). Thanks for the 51 seconds of time wasted.
When you it's really obvious how it was done it can't be that scary...

i second that!
This is so fake:
Spoiler
First he looks in the hallway and finds nothing. Returns to the main room. Then for no reason he goes to the hallway again. All of a sudden there is this girl. And before running off he makes sure you can get a clear view at the ghost.
I mean c'mon :P

No,
Spoiler
I think the ghost was visible at the first time he looks. The ghost was crouching, it is the reason why it was seen hard.
Anyway, this didn't scare me, but it was funny to watch.
What's with the fake darkness around the edges?
If anyone found that scary, they must live in total fear of everything.
And it was supposed to be crying. I never heard anything.
QuoteWhat's with the fake darkness around the edges?
What fake darkness?
I think that's not fake darkness, it's just a low-quality camcorder trying to compensate for the quick change to the dark of the hallway for the light of the room. But, yeah, this sucks. I've seen it before, and the first time, I thought it was just funny. Now, it's a pile of retardation. If I had a computer with a little more power (my laptop is downloading my video at, like, 8 fps) I could make a video better and scarier than this every other hour. In certain cases, I wouldn't even have to use AfterEffects.
Why is everyone being so bitchy about this. He just asked if it was scary, he didn't want a paragraph on how much he sucks.
No Fury, it's not scary, but good attempt.
When did he say he made the video?
If we knew he had made it we wouldn't be so cruel.
I don't think he did, though.

Everyone knows that Ghosts are the antithesis of internet n00bies, more effort please FF.
It's not very compelling. "Someone" being woken in the middle of the night, doesn't give us a whole lot of information. For all we know, it could be from a cheaply done home horror. I'd be more convinced if the person who filmed it posted it and gave a date or something. And really, who reacts to a ghost like this? 56 seconds? What happens afterwards.
It scares me that people waste time making these things in hopes to scare 10 year-olds on YouTube who stumble upon them while looking for porn.
I was checking some other forum and ran into the video. I just wanted to see what you people think of it. I found it interesting even though it's more likely fake. I just found the end a little creepy, just the way it's standing there. Kinda looks like a freaky cardboard cut out.
Check out the comments on that video. Did you see how many people actually believe it?
Yes, there are many who believe it, but those are probably the type of people who are into ghost hunting or simply like searching for ghost videos. I do believe in ghosts, but most of the stuff online I don't believe. Only reason I believe in ghosts is because something happened to me a few years back at a hotel next to a cementary and at my house I saw some dark figure looking at me while it was on its hands and knees, right next to my door at 4am.
she wasnt transparent or anything, well, not that i could see, so it didnt even look fake, just looked like some kid dressed up in a hallway
For those of you saying it's obvious how it was done, how was it done then?
I don't think it's real of course, but video editing stuff or whatever is something I've never really done, so I'm curious how you would go about making that.
My guess is that it was a two person job. Both times that it was shown it was inanimate, so I'd say it was some doll or object. We first see it positioned to look like it was crouching. Immediately after we see this the door is closed for some unclear reason and enough time is given for someone outside the door to reposition the doll/object to be standing and then hide themselves again.
My theory.
Or it was just the person who recordeds kid :P
You know what's actually scary?
Salad Fingers.
i dont see any tricks or anything at all. seems like its just a guy filming a girl in a hall way. absolutely nothing about that clip looks paranormal or anything. can anyone at all see anything weird, spooky, out of the ordinaty about this shot?

What's with the fake darkness around the edges?
I think they were trying to create a claustrophobic effect. Looks like they just used a flashlight.
What? Noo! That's just the nightvision mode thingy..
It looks like it could be a doll or something. Someone should make a parody on these ghost stuff. :P
why would it be a doll. looks about the right height to be a little girl standing down the hallway.
It could've been the guy's daughter/little sister.

It would be cheap to use your daughter to make such a video. btw, I find that girl/doll looks very stiff. That's why I think it's a doll, not a girl.
Tell me where to find such a doll and I'll make a video like this too.
Are you insinuating that this video is real?
I think its fairly certain the events on the video actually happened. The reality of the ghost however is somewhat unlikely.

I mean that it's not relevant if it's a bloody doll or a freaking girl on the video. Either way it's not a ghost.

I believe that fact was established during the first page of the thread.
That still shot Da_Elf posted makes me think it's some woman and not a kid on its knees wearing overalls. LOL
Welcome to Silent Hill..... :)
The picture Da_elf posted looks creepier than the actual video.
I think the issue of whether or not this is genuine has a fairly obvious answer.
Upon hearing a noise and going to investigate in the middle of the night, who brings a video camera?
The first time I watched it without sound on (as is a suitable precaution for any video on YouTube claiming ghostage) and I found the image of the girl to be mildly creepy. Second time, with sound, this feeling was gone. It's just his little sister kneeling.
I too did it without sound. The creepiness is actually gone with the sound turned on.
