Title: Draw the future, please :)
Post by: on Thu 04/06/2009 23:59:55
Hey peoples, with artistic skills, and those without. I'd really like to put some drawings, sketches, 3D renders, any res, whatever, of the future - in the next episode of my UFO watch video. I know many people here have the skills and the imagination, and it could trigger some interesting conversation as to how you depict "the future". Is it bleak? Is it bright? Is it even there? Please explain along with your art, why you chose that particular theme.

You tell me, with art. All artwork will be featured in a YouTube blog. I totally understand if this doesn't get any interest, hehe, but I have an awesome intro prepared... ;) If you just have something to say about "the future", please, go ahead!

Many thanks

In the future everyone will get to fly around in kickass bubbles:

Everyone important, anyway.

DISCLAIMER: 'Blinkers' symbolism completely ripped off from Wall-E which probably ripped it off from something else.

Awesome awesome awesome!!!!

I agree Bubbles may well drive the future.

In fact, I love a girl at the mo nicknamed Bubbles, so I'm more inclined to believe you...

And Layabout, yes! Jetpacks are definitely the way forward in todays society. But for good or bad? I'll let you not only be the judge, but also the only Ozzy that gives an ******* **** :P

FUN FACT: Around 2035, non-digital wristwatches see another surge in popularity, for retro reasons. However, the knowledge about how to manufacture anything that doesn't function via microprocessors was lost in 2012!  := :P

I just have to say, Eggie, that pick kinda reminds me of that Bakshi's cartoon Wizards...not sure why though.

Well, on the future matter I'm with the parole: "F*** the past, kiss the future!"  8)

Layabout, it looks like your jetpack fire burned of the buttocks of your friend. I think I see some bare cheeks....

Yes the problem with exhaust based rocketpacks is your pants would ignite.

So a turbine based solution would be better.

I'm very convinced that we will have severe problems with AI-robots in the future.

I know that this is a very unoriginal concept, and one that is featured in most of the sci-fi movies and novels since the sixties, but nevertheless I think it's inevitable.
We strive to make creatures in our image, just like God did with us. Sooner or later, our creations will cause problems, just like we've done.

Oh and please join my sect.

Dang, looks like I'll have to wait extra long for mine for the kinks to be worked out. Unless the future also has flame-resistant pants..
