Happy new year Everyone,
What did everyone do for New Years? (or have planned)
I had a quiet one with my sister and a few friends, not many drinks, a bit of music, fairly layed back compared to the average new year, and I'm actually home at 1:40am.
Hope it's a good year for everyone, that last one went so fast.
Just a trivial point, you know how each year of your life seems to go faster, I've had a theory for a while about that, as you get older 1 year is a smaller percentage of your life, eg. when you're 5, 1 year is a fifth of your whole life, if you reach 80, it's one 80th of your life, therefore it seems like less time even though each year is pretty much the same length.
Enjoy your celebrations!!

Well, it's 50 minutes into the new year here in Brisbane, I just spent some time with my family and had a few non-alchoholic drinks. Happy New Yeear's everybody! ^_^
It's over 6 hours to new year here in Finland, but...
Happy new year everybody! :)
I'm going to stay at home and have good food tonight.
3 hours after. I'm tanked.
I went in to the city center (melbourne, australia) and got squished by thousands of people going the wrong way... the police were yelling at people to hold their children over their heads so they don't get trampled... it was pretty cool... umm, i mean bad...
as a collective i think people are pretty stupid. Ohh, there's a huge crowd on that bridge, but i'm sure I'll be able to get through...
The uninspiring crowd mentality was soon re-inforced as oohs and ahhs left the multitudes mouths in awe of the shiney things in the sky... ooohhh, shiney things! aahhhh! *bang* oohhh! *boom* ahhhh
*applause*
I don't see how people can be that impressed with fireworks. I LIKE fireworks, but I mean, they're not THAT great....
ok, I'm just grumpy cause all the parties everyone had organised fell through, and my night finished way too early...
It's 11:05am on New Year's Eve here in Sunny South Florida (that's in the USA for any stupid people!!)
Tim - That's also been my theory! You spelled it out exactly how I explain it ... wierd!!
Tonight my girlfriend and I are getting a bottle of champagne and are ringing in the New Year with my family. I spent most of Christmas with her family, so my family gets the New Year.
I don't usually like going out on New Year. I like to be at a house, with lots of alcohol, and friends/family.
Anyway ...
Happy New Year to those already in 2004 ... what's it looking like so far?? ;)

Ah, still some hours left... I go with my girlfriend and her sister to a club... a "trendy" one, so I'm not really cheerful about it... guess I gotta go get my hairgel soon...
Happy New Year.
Just seven more hours 'till New year here in Croatia!
I am also stayin' home and killing myself in abnormal quantities of alcohol!
Who knows, maybe i even upload my tune in for the contest

Happy New Year everyone... I'm off to go get pissed up for the last time in 2003 in a few hours.
... :o
Wait just one hot minute, here... I've just come up with the most brilliant plan...
Timosity is an Aussie... so where he is right now, it's already New Year's Day... and here for me in the U.S. it's New Year's Eve... right?
Quick, gimme the winning lottery numbers for last night, Timmie! Come on, Timmie... be a pal... I'll give you a cut of 25%...
HA HA! I'VE FOUND THE LOOPHOLE! I'M GONNA BE FILTHY STINKIN RICH! ;D
...oh, wait... the winning lottery numbers from Australia aren't going to do me any good here in the U.S.... DAMN! >:(
HABBY HABBY NEW YEAR!!!
Its 12:50 here (in good old Karachi Pakistan) and so far nothing much exciting. I will be going to a party that for some reason starts at 2 am. For some reason people here find the need to spend their new years day at the beach, even though its all smelly and dirty from the recent oil spills and as a result of sucky roads there is heavy traffic congestion near the beach. A lot of people have spent the new year so far in their cars on the road.
Happy New Year from me too.
In here Finland, it's only 2 hours and 10 minutes to New Year.
I'm gonna shot many rockets. ;)
Happy New Years!
Me and my friends had a lengthy discussion about the significance of a year once, and I can remember vividly all the way back to age three. A second was a lot longer then, and I can't ever remember time passing faster than after puberty. I came to the conclusion that a young mind is so much more active that time seems to pass more slowly, because a child is thinking and taking in information at twice the rate of an adult, therefore, time passes about half as fast for a child.
staying home drinking some beer with my "friends" drinking some beer
00.00 is the time here now
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Btw.. Happy new year :D
It's 8:45 at my place. At the local skating rink (Olympia Skate) they're having this party that lasts from 7pm to 7am. I was there earlier today. They had lots of balloons, money, candy, and other prizes hung up in plastic on the ceiling. The guy says that they will drop it all at midnight. Breakfast is served to those who stay all night. There will be games, prizes, contests, dancing, music, and all of that hallabaloo. I might go. I mean, I've known the place for ten years, and I have always wanted to go to their night parties since I first knew the place.
I went to Olympia Skate today for the children's hours. Of course, I had to play the fun little games with them. I did do the Limbo. In fact, I almost won. I was so close. The winner only won because she was the last one in line (and she didn't have to go under the last pole). I had fun racing with the people. Skating is great fun.
ARgh.. it's just now 8:38PM here. Unless we've got a couple lurkers who're more west, I'm among the last AGSers to enter 2004. As far as plans, I plan on being 1/2 through my work-shift with another 6 hours to go, hooray! :P
I'd say Cornjob would be the last, there are some groups of islands further west than Hawaii but probably no AGSers.
New Zealand is 2 hours ahead of me and there are a couple of Kiwi AGSers but I don't think they post much in the gen gen.
If I remember correctly there's actually 25 or maybe 24.5 hours of timezones in the world, with 24 hours in a day, it overlaps somewhere, not sure where though, I think some Islands in the pacific, not sure if it's south or north.
It's now 5:15PM on Jan 1
n/m... i'sm tpp drunk to tsyp.e
Hehe, happy 2004 everyone - hope you all had a good one :)
Happy new year! Mine was only 13 hours ago :P
