Title: Hello from the deep desert
Post by: on Fri 16/06/2006 21:26:46
Hello!
In no way do I intend to offend or derail the purpose of this forum!
I have under gone your "quiz prior to registering" to this forum, in quest for your forum MOD, this is my, as well as others, interest.

I am an avid user of SMF php forums and found a post in the charter member section at SMF, requesting the mod author for a copy of "Quiz prior to registering". We have performed wide and varied searches for this MOD to no avail.
It was suggested by a fellow charter member to under go registering here and politely asking for assistance.

We have no desire to spam or intrude on your privacy, so I should be the only one posting this question.

Would you be able or willing to share out this mod?
Thank you very much for your assistance!

Basically, the registration quiz is not a proper "mod", it's just something I hacked in myself. Therefore, I could send you a copy of the main PHP file, but it needs to be integrated in a few other places too, and I don't have the time to make a proper SMF MOD out of it.

Additionally, the questions are just hardcoded into the PHP file, it doens't do anything clever like store them in the database or provide an admin interface or anything.

Well understood!
That does point me in the right direction and is very helpful!
I too, have made extensive hack/mods to my forum's and would find it
time consuming to guide others.

If I'm able to create a mod similar, I would like to credit you with it's conception.

Thank you very much!

I will copy/paste your response @ SMF so others will know.
You shouldn't be pestered further.

Again Thank You!
