Title: How to make trailers?
Post by: xenogia on Sat 04/03/2006 03:37:08
I was wondering what program people use to make trailers of their own games?  Specifically AGS games, is it some video capturing type program or a screen capturing type process??

camtasiaf.exe, is a nice screen capture program, with a free 15 day trial that let's you capture anything played on the screen.

All the other programs I've tried don't work with AGS, but this one does! And it's got video editing and audio editing utilities as well... The downside is that once you've installed it once you can't install it again...

Fraps at www.fraps.com (http://www.fraps.com). Unlimited free demo version with max 30 seconds of capture.

I use Screen Movie Studio. There's no limitations and it will capture any active window you want. If you don't pay for a license you get a little logo at the top-left corner, but if you run your game in a window it'll fall over the top-bar, and you can just crop it out.

For actual DirectX games, Fraps is best.
