I mostly like VG cats(its funny AND canadian), but this ain't. I personally think Nazism (and Hitler in particular) is to serious an issue to make fun of THIS way.

And Thomas... there is a difference between making fun of Hitler in 1936 (before the holocaust) and in 2006 (after the holocaust). Nothing I really wanna to discuss, though. Jokes of Hitler can be very funny, but this joke, for me, just is not.
Okay, so what this is coming down to is this:

I vote for a combination of both.
I think its marginally comical. I instantly recoungnised both characters. It wasnt enough for a laugh but It made sense and I guess the message is that Jimminy Cricket wont grant Hitlers wish for the "Final Solution".

Making fun of Hitler has little to do with making fun of the attempted genocide of Jews.
Saying that, somebody mentioned Chaplin in regards to "The Great Dictator". After WW2 and the atrocites of the Nazi regime game to light, Chaplin said that if he had know the truth of the situation, he would have rethought his approach to his film.
So I guess it comes down to personal preference.
The Simpson has a number of Hitler related jokes. As does Family Guy. If memory serves, I laughed at most of them. :-\

I found THIS funny ;D I loved how it took the rules of the pokemon world and then asked "what they heck if this was real life?" critters just don't do so well when squished into little bitty balls.
The Garfield section of that cartoon script I just don't get at all, and the bit with what might be those two cartoon characters whose names escape me, I've never read anyway so maybe the joke is lost on me. Or maybe the joke isn't funny and I DO get it.
I do like the pokemon one though! hehe!
I really though that the Calvin and Hobbs one was not funny in the least ???
