May the love and peace our our dear lord Jesus rest upon each and every one of you!
Merry Christmas! I hope that those who celebrate this day find it to be blessed and joyous. :-)
AGS surprised me!

I'm sorry, but now you're just asking for it.

Edit: Not trying to start a discussion or anything here. If you feel you must address my blasphemy, please do so in a PM.
And to all atheists out there - have a nice day off, eat, drink and party and think how nice it is you don't have to go to church at midnight but stay home and party some more.
How did AGS surprise you?
Also you could've hung a blue cup on that tree. Imagine how funny it'd have been if you did!! But you didn't! :~(
And oh yeah, Merry Christmas to you too.
LOL, Kris! I thought you celebrated each day by mocking others. :-) This must be your special, reserved Christmas mockery.
My day is just beginning. I hope that you have enjoyed your holiday.
That is the splash screen you get from AGS if you run it on Dec 25th.
There are others, and there's also at least one existing thread about them :)
These festivals and/or events are just an excuse of getting together and being happy. You don't need to carry faith similar to your friends for being happy and nor you should go pointing out faults or worse mocking someone else's beliefs (on their special occasions, at least). Share the happiness and be happy yourself too. But apparently that is too much asking from some people. :-X
PRAISE SATAN ON THIS, HIS DAY OF COMING!
(santa?, who's santa?)
This is my first time running AGS on Dec 25th ;) I got the Valentine's day splash before and it was beautiful :-D
Khris Thanks I'll check it out and Merry Christmas :)

I think Khris was primarily responding to the... uh, aggressively religious tone of this post:

Anyway, Merry Christmas one and all, whatever meaning you put in it.
Yep, I was.
Adeel: I don't need faith to be happy, really? Thanks, I had no idea. But I will mock religious silliness all day long whenever it rears its ugly head.
edit 2: OH the topics have been merged, so it is the right one. Ok. So anyway. Knowing this is an AGS splash screen, my remark about the necessity of the blue cup on the tree stands.
I'm more annoyed by the fact that there are like 4 different topics about this day. One should be enough.
Jesus was born so that god would know how it feels to live life in a human body and put through the most extreme pain possible, so he knows how you feel even in your deepest anger hate and pain and he loves you!
Then how about not enjoying this day as holiday and do some volunteer social work for all the time you'd normally work because this holiday was created by silliness and we mock silliness.
Kris, you have no that you don't need to possess faith similar to someone to share happiness.
This day has been celebrated for thousands of years, because it's the winter solstice, when the days start to get longer again. Then it was co-opted by Christianity. The more you know.
I share all your happiness, what I don't share is fluffy distortions of biblical dogma.
Ah well, It's OK Khris we still love you!
I was an atheist for many years before I opened the book and read a few pages.
Now I've read it about 6 times.
:D
In all it was a good day. All of my children are getting ready for bed, filled with cookies, cakes, and too much candy. My wife gave me a lovely gift, but I don't know what to do with it. It's too cold outside to plant this tree... Pears aren't even in season. The partridge was nice, but it was barely a snack. Maybe she'll have something for me tomorrow? Doves were on my list.

If any maids a'milkin' show up, let me know. I'll drop by. :=
Have a great christmas all of ye!!
Merry Christmas everyone :3

Thanx Grim
Very nice ICEY!
I take no offense to what Khris said, He is a highly intelligent actually genius person and all scientific facts would lead people to believe that there is indeed no god.
It's by a strange faith that I do and always will believe in Christ!
But I will speak no more of religion on these forums because I have utmost respect for every person on them and find that it's better to keep matters of religion and politics away from open social environments.
So I apologize to anyone it may offend and must say that I only mentioned it because as a christian we are encouraged to speak the word to as many people as possible.
and before midnight strikes, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Well, I had a very nice day. I hope you all did too.
Massive dinner, lots of chocolate, nieces and nephews enjoying their presents, popping to the pub for a couple while the turkey cooked, watching crap on telly.
I did indeed!
Surrounded by my wonderful family and new found piglet we ate a nice big turkey with all the sides and of course I spent many hours working on Grim Quest.
I am however a little peeved at Santa, He gave me charcoal with no starter fluid!
Plenty late, but at least I'm now equally late for several other holidays. Hope everyone's having a delightful Christmas/Chanukah/Eid/Solstice!
