It's a spoof of course but the graphics made me think AGS, and the choosing a frontman to use as your fighter, plus the addition of unlockable Tenacious D characters gives it just enough scraps of flesh on its bones to makes me wonder...

Oh I saw some interviews with plenty of heavy metal frontmen and band members, you metal heads are mostly intelelectuals and quiet people. They get their aggresion out on stage and while playing...nothing to be afraid of Calin.
Besides, 90% of heavy metal songs is a cross between a soft girly ballad, hitting the strings/drums as fast as you can (well trying to show that you can play really good but not actually make it so it looks like a natural part of the song) and screaming about elfs and orcs. :P ;D
...and don't make me mention the long hair. ;D

Well of course Dopefish did it as a joke, hence the writeup but it could be done. Not as any sort of licensed thing for real, just a fangame. Not sure, not really my cup of tea. :)
