Title: mIRC trouble
Post by: Raggit on Mon 24/05/2004 01:28:38
It seems that we've recently gotten a new computer.  Well, I had my old registered version of IRC on that system and I've downloaded it again onto this one now.   But the evaluation period of 30 days has ended.
Does this mean I have to re-register my copy?  I looked on the IRC website and FAQ place but found no answers.

Isn't there someplace I can enter my previous registration info to activate my current copy?

There's really no point in registering.. Unless you hate the nag screen.. If you bought it, then just email the guy and he'll probably sort it out..

But if you didn't, umm.. then.. live with the nag screen.

There are less-legal ways of registering it also. (But in no way do I condone such behaviour)
Various websites will provide completely illegal and unsupervised and bad hacks and cracks, but again, this is purely for information purposes, and I don't recommend you look into this avenue at all.

this was one giant disclaimer

Screw it, look up the completely illegal and unsupervised and bad hacks and crack! I mean, would you prefer people thought you were a wussy loser or an ultra-cool rebel?

You should buy any software you need...

correct. you SHOULD by all the software you need. But |\/|5CR4CK5 DOT C0|\/| might provide a neat and nifty workaround. Not that I'm posting links, or anything...

Thanks for the help but I only now realized that you don't need to register to use it.  Hehe, guess the jokes on me!   :)
